Definitely looks like a sneaky placement of track bed. A good thing if you ask me. One of the biggest problems is the connectivity of the number 7 at present.

Shows the need for an improved bus terminal there. Cannot wait for slussen to be demolished and rebuilt to a much, much improved plan.

It also shows the need for (better) rail transit to Nacka. Extended Tvärbana, upgraded Saltsjöbana and some subway.
My thoughts on it can, as usual, be found on the map I made a while ago (and update/change sometimes): http://www.scribblemaps.com/maps/view/Gurre10

It's kind of interesting how the planners never learn from history. Before the red line was extended from KTH to Mörby Centrum, Valhallavägen looked exactly the same, an endless line of busses streaming from the northern suburbs clogging up E3 and Valhallavägen. And Sveavägen where man lines ended during rush hour, was like some asian cities, complete anarchy of busses, cars and pedestrians.

Then they built the extension to Mörby and rerouted all lines to Danderyds Sjukhus, this meant that the commute to Stockholm became faster as the busses now stopped ending up in the daily traffic jams, just like you see on 222 today and for the past 30 years.

The easy fix is Tunnelbana to Nacka and rerouting all bus lines to that underground stop. No more traffic jams on 222 and a faster commute for all living in Nacka and Värmdö. The super expensive new bus garage under Södermalm can be scrapped and the money better spent on the extension of the Tunnelbana.

The Roslagsbanan at Universitetet. (Videos are being processed and stabilised at the moment, so they're a bit jerky at the moment).

Tour of Täby Centrum station and the new bus terminal that was finished recently.

Agreed, it's a very nice station and it's also a work in progress. The station is stunning, but the platforms are ugly and T-Centralen metro station is awful considering how busy and utilised it is. We really need to renovate these parts of it and then we'll have one of the nicest stations in Europe in my opinion.

Glad someone is watching my videos, though.

Good news in regards the metro network expansion. WSP got an order to project a subway (tunnelbana) line to Arenatsaden.

WSP projekterar tunnelbanan till Arenastaden

Quote:

Yes it is. We're all hoping that it will be extended further north to Täby Centrum (or Morby Centrum actually, either would do). That way it forms a link around the lake to join up with the red line. It also provides a much needed rail link from north eastern Stockholm to Solna as well as linking two very major hospitals with rail (Karolinska and Danderyds Sjukhus). Good for business and convenient for everyone.

Beginning to take shape isn't it? Shows what a massive project this is. Will be glad when the mess at T-Centralen is cleared up, though.

New bendy buses in Stockholm. Just snapped a quick photo with my phone of the new visual displays for stops along the route. A BIG improvement over the old stops.

Any outside pictures of the new buses?

Not at this point, it was just a lucky capture when I was coming home from the lab.

I'm hoping that next time I'll get better pictures. But this gives a flavour of the best feature of the new bus - the new displays!
