Thoughts and Comments?
Greetings forumers!
This forum is our next phase of the Rate Our Talls World's Tallest series, where we are systematically representing the World's tallest skyscrapers. Just like the Top 100 forum, this one will steadily grow until all buildings between 101- and 200 are showcased for you to vote on... If you have any thoughts, comments or suggestion on how we could improve this area, this is the place to do it... |

Once again, I'll repeat myself at the risk of sounding like a broken record.
It is recommended you give a rating to every building and not just some. This helps reflect a more accurate opinion poll and improves credibility. Do not feel inhibited in expressing that you gave a very low score for a building. In fact, everyone here would be interested in your opinions as this IS the place to express it..and you ARE entitled to your opinion Have fun!!

And remember, if you make some sort of reply when you vote, that thread will then have a black dot on its icon, and you will know which buildings you have already seen.

Just a little tip, if you want to see all the threads in order, press the
button at the top of the page to sort them numerically. Enjoy!

great tips Jason & Dmac but I found the THREAD button at the bottom of the list not the top...you have to pick thread title & in ascending order to get them listed from top to bottom....anyways I just found out I got about another 20 more buildings to rate at ROT100!!...great work guys!

The word "Thread" appears in the dark gray bar which serves as the title bar for the forum (it is the last thing on the screen before the actual list of threads begins). If you click on the word "thread", it sorts the forum in ascending order, and places an "up arrow" icon next to the word thread. if you click that arrow icon, you can then re-sort to descending order. It's much quicker and easier than manipulating the sort functions at the bottom of the page... |

Something I noticed on the ROT top 100 poll - folks applied the number ratings in different ways, according to some of their comments. It might be nice to have one or two words by a few of the numbers, phrases like "awesome","very impressive", "sort of impressive", "average", "not too impressive," etc., so folks would be on the same page...?
BTW, thanks again for all the great work!

Liz L, yeah that would be a good idea.
I try to do that on most of my ratings.

I have an announcement to make
Some of you may have been wondering why the no. of threads created here have been going at slower than a snail's pace : I really do apologise for this, especially to those eager beavers who turn up looking for more, only to be disappointed At the moment I have exams coming up in January (right after the hols! ) so I will ease off until maybe the end of the 2nd week..when construction of rot101-200 will continue. I believe DMac is in the same predicament. But great thanks for those who have taken the initiative to create new threads in the interim - enzo, sydneydude, westin peachtree ! Happy New Year ROTers!!

@renell, It is a measure to ensure that new threads get the maximum replies and votes they need. With the number of posters posting here, new threads can get quickly pushed out of sight.
I generally unstick the threads when they reach around 10 replies. Of course, this should not matter if you are a regular poster, for by then you would have cast your vote for every building. What I am trying to discourage is people here responding to certain buildings only. As a frequent ROT-er you can do your bit by replying to threads which have the least replies so that they move up again. What do you think? |
