North Point Goverment Offices
Hong Kong, China HEIGHT: 95m FLOORS: 25 floors COMPLETION: 1998 ARCHITECT: Simon Kwan & Associates Ltd. [/I] Stone is used at certain spandrel areas of the unitized curtainwall with the vertical joints of the stone being staggered. This is an office building for the Hong Kong SAR Government. Due to acoustic requirements, 32mm silver reflective on clear & on green insulated vision glass is used on the unitized curtainwall facing the sea & the highway (Island Eastern Corridor). Quite nice, I like the curve and the straight edge with the indentation, as well as a colour, but as Sher said, it just isnt charming enough - just decent.
