They can be suspicious if they like. I've not made any comments which should lead anyone to think I've voted due to country rather than merit, but they can still be suspicious if they wish. That's their right. I do however have cause to wonder about other people's motives, so I will exercise my right and base that suspicion on actual comments.

I say again, we ALL have been part of a very silly competition. Truth is never the conclusion to these sort of things.

Just looking at the accounts of members who have voted. Lots of aaaaa, aajj, aajjaj, aakk, aakkkaa, aall, etcetera.

But it's merely an observation.

No it is silly because voting based on a building based SOLELY on it's country will produce an outcome which is not reflective of people's architectural tastes.

Every building has benefited from this kind of voting, and the winner will not necessarily be the one people like the most. Even if something I wanted to win does, which it won't, this would still be the case.

Good observation. I'm not sure that really means anything. If it does though I'm not sure anything can be done about it.

That's hugely possible, I've done that too. It's also possible though that lots are just extra accounts made by people so they can vote again. I suspect every building has benefited from multiple votes from some people.

if we see when they registered and they registered when this contest started then its in fact likely.

yeah i mean its just a contest, im kinda sad when a building i liked gets out of the contest, but its not like im immediatly saying the voting was false and its unfair and what not haha just hopr its doesnt create a war that makes contests like this not happening in the future

That's very suspicious and should be investigated right away, it potentially ruins the integrity of the competition!

Can you see their IP addresses? Yeah if I saw a bunch of BS accounts with no/very little posts ALL created during a specific time frame I'd have to say they were fake accounts made for shenanigans.

Shenanigans!

Here is how to add VK (second most popular social network in europe).
http://vk.com/developers.php?o=-1&p=Like

2394009 is id for http://xl.skyscrapercity.com/?page=tournament&var=1

Code:
<!-- Put this script tag to the <head> of your page -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://userapi.com/js/api/openapi.js?32"></script>

<script type="text/javascript">
  VK.init({apiId: 2394009, onlyWidgets: true});
</script>

<!-- Put this div tag to the place, where the Like block will be -->
<div id="vk_like"></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
VK.Widgets.Like("vk_like", {type: "button"});
</script>

Next time, only members with at least a certain amount of posts should be allowed to vote.

good. chrysler was leading by over a hndred votes, but somehow ended up losing by a hundred in a matter of a few hours. doesnt seem very legitimate. sick of these nationalists voting just because a building is in their country.

Oh my god, I didn't realise the Chrysler was being beaten. You're right, last time I looked it was winning considerable. Seems really suspect. I hope there's a recount for all 4 of these quarters.
