@hkranger

I think it would be more accurate to say that the construction of tall buildings tends to correlate well with local property market upturns, and that in some cases these upturns are associated with a bubble.

Which is not to say that I disagree with you about China - the level of construction activity seems rather hard to support based purely on demand.

It's a good job. Most of us had never even heard of the Petronas Towers before those images were posted.

I cant believe you said that... only works the negative effect for you... but seriously do you think that is a proud thing to say?

What you said reminds me of this video.

Seems like 'you people' never knew about any landmarks. So no surprise 'you people' wouldnt know Patronas.

Have you ever heard of sarcasm? I was being facetious as I don't find all these images helpful. Everyone on this site knows what the high profile towers, such as the Petronas, look like.

Have you?

That was meant to be a mock of what you would post in reply to a sarcastic post. So again you failed my sarcasm.

Sarcasm is lost when the level of English is not correct. I can't speak any other language, and that you can should be admired, but you shouldn't attempt sarcasm if you can't carry it off.

I love how you conveniently forget my talk of liking more transparent glass, and loving the Shanghai Tower. Also, I'm sure you can't read my location...I don't live in the US.

I recognise I made a fairly angry comment, which I probably shouldn't have made, but how the hell has this denigrated back into a slanging match?

You have to be word perfect when using sarcasm. Again, you speak English, pretty damn well, I wouldn't slag that off because I can't speak any other language, so I'm not gonna go through word for word and say how it's wrong.

I apologize for the initial angry comment, and I'm not getting into another argument.

Hey, people have never had any problem getting my sarcasm ... they might not only if it was an insider's joke (they often are)

Just the thread. Not the site. I'll think you'll find it was a combined effort though.
