He gave his opinion, strongly. Perhaps too strongly. Still, no one has demanded that you explain your opinion, so we shouldn't have to be made to justify ours.

It's hard to put into words. Everything about it is just so charming and elegant to me. It has a strength and power. It's massing is, for me, the epitome of how a skyscraper should be. The antenna atop the spire is pretty nasty, but it takes nothing away. You did say you 'needed' a simple explanation. That's not asking.

Again, you don't need to know anything. You want to know. You're not doing anything wrong necessarily, no, but we are not obligated to give any reasons because you ask. You didn't really give any reasons, and you don't need to. People who say a building is shit ARE going too far, but I can't speak for them.

Just because a building is newer does not mean it is safer. See the original WTC vs. the Empire State Building. Guess which one has better exits in the case of an emergency? Which one doesn't have drywall for elevator shafts? It all depends on the building codes of a country/city/agency/era.

As for the Petronas lobby, I'm sure it is nice, but it is quite silly to just dismiss the ESB lobby. Have you ever been there? It is beautiful as well.

Lastly, if we are again talking about safety, has the Petronas survived a plane crashing into it? Not sure yet? Alright then.

This competition just proves a famous saying "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder".

In comparison, some guys could say Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is super hot super sexy, while some others say she sucks, she's not attractive, and not up-to Megan Fox standards, etc.
Sorry but in my opinion Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is wayyyyy hotter than Megan Fox! hehehe

It's not a great analogy as Megan Fox is only 25 and Rose Huntington-Whiteley is 24.

God yes, ESB's lobby owns. It's a celebration of art and the city.

I can't speak for most of Asia but when I traveled to Japan and talked about skyscrapers, everyone knew the ESB and even linked it to me when I mentioned I was from NYC. Granted I was talking to people who are into that kind of thing so it doesn't say much.

Just my opinion, but I've never been too crazy about Petronas' facade, it's way too busy for me and horizontal. I prefer simple, and soaring, I've also never liked sky bridges, on any building I can remember.

The ESB is simple, soaring, and I'm a sucker for this era of architecture. Easy choice for me.

i said petronas was shit because someone said esb was shit and i was just giving them a taste of their own medicine. i dont think petronas towers are shit. i was just trying to show the person who called the esb that how ridiculous they were being. now how about all this arguing stops. its pointless.

Final will start on Thursday. As the voting was close I'd like to have a proper look at the results first. At first glance things seems fine, just a few incidental cases which I don't think are going to change the results.
