hey I'm suggesting something weird...

Perhaps we can have a SSC Global Outing in Chrysler, NYC and another one in Petronas, KL?

Yes I agree that many people would say it's either you LIKE or DISLIKE ptt. Is it because of the skybridge?? (btw does anyone of you know if ever the skybridge can be dismantled? HAHA)

He is right. Since the Chrysler Building is crammed into the middle of the concrete jungle, it is very hard to find a nice angle to photograph the complete building.

Here are some nice pics of Chrysler; not terrific, but you'll get an idea:

Where exactly are you from? Since you just referenced the skyline of New York City as dull, I want to know what city you call home.

I appreciate the generally positive attitude and demeanor of the Chrysler supporters. Just like the building, classy.
As for Petronas: beautiful towers. Rude people.

That's fine but the building clearly states EMPIRE STATE, in big gold letters.

Yeah most of the building of that era look the same. But so do a lot of the buildings of this era.

If this building was in Dubai or China, it would have predated any other supertall by 60+ YEARS!!!!!

You would have all been touting your beautiful "tower in the desert with the silver crown that emits golden light". It would have been legendary. It also would be a sentimental favorite against all of the newer supertalls. You would all fondly remember the way it stood alone, in isolation from any other tall buildings for half a century, and your hearts would swell with pride. Eventually, after decades upon decades of technological breakthroughs, other skyscrapers were built, leading to the new wave of supertalls. They may be taller and larger, but in your minds, nothing will ever eclipse the beauty or dominance of your original beacon of light, the "tower in the desert with the silver crown that emits golden light."

I voted for Petronas, Chrysler isn't dull at all though.

When I first got interested about buildings, Chrysler building is the reason why.

why we cannot stand with u,becoz anything from american is to much overated, the city, the skyline, the building..just look on 70c tournoment, america conquer the candidates..what a pity
