^I'm happy that the rest of the skyline is starting to catch up. The dense canopy is there, and some of the towers just getting started are amazing! (and tall!) I see KL becoming the premier Asian skyline of 2020 (maybe sooner?) outside of China.

Both Petronas Towers and the Chrysler Building are ugly in my opinion. I was hoping for a Willis Tower vs International Commerce Center or Willis Tower vs Aon Center finale.

Btw, there should be a battle for the copper medal too. They should put Burj Khalifa against the Empire State Building

I'm all for that idea. Hopefully if there will be enough support it will happen

Like them both, but having seen the Petronas Towers live in person my loyalty lies with them. During the day, at dusk, at night, equally incredible!

Just as an afterthough: looking at the photos above most NY skyscrpers are pretty boring rectangular prisms.

I can sort of understand your viewpoint here.....Taken individually, many of the buildings would be considered 'boring' to many. However, once placed together in the New York Skyline, they all mesh beautifully. I love the dark, seductive feel I get from the NY skyline.
(Many of the new towers under construction would have a much more positive view in your eyes I do believe)

you don't get it, sorry..............not a slight to Petronas Towers because i love them as well but those that are "skyscraper afficionados" that dont like or appreciate the Chrysler Building are indeed clueless

I accidentally voted for Chrysler.
I hope I don't get branded as traitor.
