um, i think people are taking this a little too personally. People should step away from their keyboards and take a breath for a second !
I was searching for this Nima fellow's posts just now, and he seem to have posted in only couple of threads. although most of the people in the forum might not agree with most of his posts (including myself), he really wasn't going off topic (unless someone can provide evidence of him doing so, he really hasn't broken any forum rules from what I can see). People can express their opinions here as long as they are relevant to the topic, and don't / attack insult people. I don't understand why this is being turned into Iran VS Iraq issue. and I certainly disagree with yousif's post about "no Iranians allowed". We don't discriminate on nationality or ethnicity here ! |

hi Bigdreamer
he certainly went off topic on the Iraqi sue list. He insults Iraqis at any opportunity. And even when he posts on a thread (on topic) his post is simply a one line flamebait rather than a serious question or comment. and its a consistent series of trolling and flamebaiting that he does. He never actually posts anything "useful" on the Iraqi subforum at least. And he did personally insult me several times, called me a "liar" and "I talk out of my arse" even though I never insulted him at all (as if insulting people is some sort of higher ability that I wouldn't be able to reply to in kind if I so wished). He's just a general troll. His sidekick souroush persepoli called Iraqis "cunts, leave these dog alone they will be behind Iran even in a 100 years, its god's punishment for what they did in the past" right here on the Iraqi subforum. That is not to say that all iranian posters are bad. In fact most Iranian posters are good, and we are certainly grateful to shugs for his role in starting the forum! Just some insolent teenagers need to grow up slightly.

Hi Sheytan I see.. I'll tell you what .. I'll spend sometime reading his posts over the next couple of days, and talk to shugs about it and see if that guy is trolling elsewhere as well. I haven't seen him post in the last few days, so maybe we can all move on for now. but will certainly keep an eye from now on. |

Don't get discouraged Basrawii, keep plugging away. Sometimes people have trouble seperating government positions from the everyday wants and desires of their own populations. It is easy to see why when all off us are bombarded with their own governments positions. When people sit down and just enjoy each others company where they are from becomes less and less important.

Hi guys,
After reading many suggestions that people have made about NOT starting a brand new thread for small completed projects, I've came up with this solution: I've merged many small projects that are completed into the following thread (feel free to let me know if more threads should also be merged): IRAQ | Small Completed Projects From now on, if you have found a small project that is complete (eg, a cafe, tiny hotel, or minor street renovation etc), please post it in this thread instead of starting a new one. I guess it can be subjective to decide what defines a "small project", so there will not be hard-line rules to be enforced. It's okay to start a new thread for a small project, but if many users complain that it's "too small", we would then merge it with this thread. We'll just rely on common sense, and hope that this system will work out Also, we'll make this thread a sticky, so it can be found easily. |

How about a section for the environment in Iraq, called "Environment in Iraq" or similar.
For posting articles about efforts in battling desertification, growing palm trees, building dams, recovering the marshes etc....these are highly imortant issues in Iraq. What do you say?

That's a nice suggestion IraqiPlan unfortunately at this point, I don't believe that the admins are interested in adding new subsections into subforums. (creating a new section is rather complicated on SSC, it's not one of those things that happen overnight). but if you like, we can create a thread on the main page for "Environmental Matters" in Iraq. If this thread proves to be popular, it would give us a good reason for convincing the admins to create a subsection in the future. |

Hello BIG D , sup?
Can I start a thread about Iraq's journey in the Qualifiers for the Word Cup in Brazil? So that we can put news there and help our friends in putting links to broadcasting sites for the matches? fixtures, news, schedules and more stuff will be also added there. What do u think? |
