A pocket park on empty lot would great except that we are not allowed to have nice things in Seattle. Lol.

It would be great to turn that whole block into a skyscraper, but it'd block the old Washington Mutual tower as seen from the water. BUT, it's an ideal place to add residential downtown. Make a skinny, a couple mid-rises, and keep the old brick, and you've got yourself a city block.

If we're tearing down an entire block for a skyscraper (dare I dream supertall?!?) I would want it to be that hideous white church at 6th and Seneca and the IBM tower. It would be such a great place in the skyline for a new tallest.

It's not the idea of a pocket park that I find objectionable. That would be fine, but at least lets have something more that a bunch of plastic pre-school Little Tykes playground sets. And trim the weeds. And cut the grass. And pick up the litter.
