DAR ES SALAAM | Uhuru Heights | Mixed-Use | 25 fl | COMPLETE

Quote:
The crowning glory of Dar-es-Salaam (Tanzania's tallest building)

Uhuru Heights is designed to be the tallest tower and specifically the tallest commercial-cum-residential tower in Tanzania. The majestic landmark has as its logo a graphic rendering of the torch of independence (Uhuru Torch) which adorns the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Uhuru Heights is a prestigious project for the bustling commercial capital; and occupies prime position on the elite BIBI TITI Mohammad Road. Rising on the seafront, the Tower offers breathtaking views across the Indian Ocean and has facilities designed to world-class quality.

Uhuru Heights’ prime location makes it a prestigious address for businesses. Five floors of the Tower offer a choice of offices of varied sizes. Sleek designs and superior finishes are complemented by business support facilities like high speed Internet connection, parking and 24-hour security.

The 25- storey Tower is a destination for luxury, entertainment and exciting social life. A fashionable Shopping Mall occupies the basement, ground and first floor - featuring the world’s best brands. The second floor caters to the tastes of multicultural, multinational customers with an extensive food court and fine dining restaurants. An Entertainment Court in the basement features a kid’s gaming area and bowling alley. In addition, the residential section of the Tower provides separate swimming pools and gymnasium for ladies and gents; a children’s play area and a party hall for 100 - 120 people.

Thirteen floors of Uhuru Heights feature spacious four bedroom apartments and luxurious penthouses. Elegantly furnished, all Uhuru Heights apartments come equipped with handpicked German furniture and the whole gamut of modern home appliances - right from the cooking range to the microwave oven, refrigerator, washing machine, LCD TV, music system and more... The penthouses are even more exclusive with a personal family swimming pool, gymnasium, steam, sauna and capsule lift in each.

Great tower indeed iam n0t sure about the location too, but as a cum-residential plaza it perhaps should belong in one of Dar's posh surburbs closer to the city.

Its in the CBD, And I think it belongs there next to other towers otherwise it would really be out of place in the posh suburbs like Mikocheni and Mbezi beach.

Pretty good render, but I have to agree it kind of looks out place, at least in the picture provided.

TANZANIA|Dar es Salaam|Uhuru Heights|Mixed-Use|25fl|Proposed

The architectural picture does not show the true picture surrounding the tower. As a matter of fact there is another 25 storey-Viva Towers- underconstruction besides Uhuru Heights.

beginning stage of construction...thats when Kenguy was in Dar I think. But the design has slightly changed and they have changed the adv board now.

view from Movenpick hotel...Uhuru Heights (Center) on the right is Viva Towers underconstruction...on the left is another tower underconstruction.
