Unfortunately they don't exist anymore since 2007. However, they are being replaced by tramways. Construction already started and this will truly improve Innsbruck's public transport system.

nice! I'm looking forward to my trip to Brixen this winter + daytrip to Innsbruck!
I have a question: how do you Tyroleans feel towards people from Südtirol? I'm extremely fascinated with that little corner of Italy that is so utterly non-italian, but not austrian either!

I'm from Salzburg, but by train it only takes about 110 minutes from Salzburg to Innsbruck. However, I never was in Südtirol, so I can't give you an answer...

I am not from there either, but my impression of the Southtyrolians I met (there are quite a few of them in Vienna) was that they are Tyrolians who think that Austrian coffee sucks and who prefer having Italian Espresso instead.
