ABBAS School

To help improve the education infrastructure, the Ministry of education has contracted with Markez for a wide range renovations project in west and southern parts of Baghdad. We have played a critical role in developing the infrastructure and capacity of new schools and ministries structures. Our teams of engineers and experts have used their skills, knowledge, and experience to lead the way on efforts to revitalize this important pillar of security and stability in the region.

Markez has successfully built and renovated over 50 schools in the Baghdad alone. These projects have kept the learning system going in local communities.. We’ve also supplied and installed the most design build projects in the area as well trusted company in the communities. These achievements were recognized by funders, clients and locals by recommendation awards and community trust.

QUDOS School

What set this project apart from our other work with the American and Iraqi reconstruction task force was the opportunity to provide quality in one most hostile region of Baghdad. Faced with the growing demand for school to reopen in Jamia neighborhood in the area, the USACE awarded asked Markez to rebuild a Qudos school for boys.

Not only did this undertaking require our engineering and technical skill, but also the execution on our new security policy to hire all labor from locals proved effective. Providing modern facilities for the ministry of education, Markez efforts when the MOE decided to send one of its heist officials to lead the opening ceremony was a testimony to quality of work in hard times that faced the nation.

perhaps small projects like individual schools should be in one single thread so as not to create 100s of threads for all the new schools, and make it easier to count and sort schools etc...
