Skyprince in hyper-rich Brunei

2 weeks ago I visited Brunei for 2 days and here are my pics.

I think almost all of us have no idea on how Brunei looks like. And of course, I bet most of you are interested to know The country is well-known to be an extremely rich country ( which is true ) but we rarely hear about livelihood & any updates, news/mega-projects in this affluent Sultanate. Brunei is certainly not a Bahrain.

It is pretty hard to find any *ground/street-level * photos of Brunei and its wealthy neighborhoods. So here I'm going to "reveal" Brunei to the max

I had an amazing time in Brunei- local Bruneians are very conservative, friendly, and generally highly-educated & English-speaking. Homes are very big in Brunei, from some sources 60-70% Bruneians ( poipulation only 400,000 ) live in huge villas/bungalows while the remains live in government flats, quarters & in Kampung Ayer ( the floating village which houses about 10% of Brunei population )

Standard of living is very high and Bruneians enjoy very pampered & easy life .It is no surprise that they have one of the world's highest satisfaction of life.

While in Brunei, I found so many foreigners most notably from Indonesia , Philippines and Bangladesh.

And to my surprise, Brunei is incredibly cheap ! Despite the very high salary enjoyed by Bruneians, you can't believe your eyes cost of food, transportation ( car rental + public transpo ), and grocery items is almost same to what you expect to pay in Malaysia or Indonesia

Leaving Kuala Lumpur for Brunei by Air Asia... I got really cheap deal of only 63 RInggit ( that's about 20 US Dollars ) round-trip including all tax. Flying time is 2:20 hours

in Kuala Lumpur Low-cost carrier terminal

Lining up for Brunei flight- the vast majority is made of Malaysians , with some few Bruneians and Australians
