Boise~Spring Begins:The River and Creeks are Running High and You're Going to Get Wet

Boise, Idaho USA
Beginning with the Spring Equinox last month, the season so far in Boise has been cool and wet, snow, rain and more rain. The mountains around The City of Trees are full of snow resulting in high runoff in the river and creeks and so far there is some minor flooding along the Boise River Greenbelt. The Spring runoff in the mountains is just beginning, so the water pics are a small hint of what is yet to come. I shot all of the photos in and near downtown, and a few are along creeks in the Foothills within minutes of the downtown core. In another month, Boise will be in full bloom.

Enjoy!

The Climax coming later in May

Thank you. April was cold and wetter than normal because of the La Nina, and was the coldest and wettest on record in Boise since 1984 per local news media. So far May is turning out cool and moist too although we have had a few days in the 70's.
