The idea of installing WiFI in Bung Karno sports complex came when Thomas and Uber cup were in Indonesia early this year. Thanks to Cisco, now every event, we will have WiFI in that complex. Too bad the wifi will only activated when big event comes to the city. Like this Asian CUP 2007
cheers

I would say maybe but one thing lack from all the stadium in Indonesia is the safety zone between the players and supporters.
I think the level of Indonesia as a host is to become asian cup host, which will happen in 2007. But if i would dream... senayan, palembang, persedikab bandung, kanjuruhan malang and the new stadium in Kalimantan (being constructed for PON) are good enough for the world cup. How many groups are in the world cup? 6? cheers

Hey guys, Now Australia are in the Asian Confederation I am very interested to find out the official venues for the Asia cup. There appear to be some great venues in indonesia, the Bung Karno reminds me of the Maracana.

The venue of Asian Cup will be in Bung Karno stadium and if Vietnam is failed to get support from the AFC then Indonesia might host 2 groups which i think will be hosted in Palembang or the city of Malang. the other two will be shared by Thailand and Malaysia.
cheers

Ya noe guys, the stadiums capacity is not 100,000.. it was registered as a 100,000 capacity, but the record crowd was a little bit over 120,000.. and that was against Malaysia in the semifinals of the tiger cup... might as well change the stats bout the stadium... its kinda weird, comparing to Wembley, the stadium is kinda small.. but its actually pretty big...

Hey, Indo-uk, You right, the registered capacity is 100,000 but the stadium often get fullpacked of suporters who were willing to climb and sit a the dangerous area. I myself who watch the liga djarum final felt its quite scary to see those people were climbing and yet...throwing a bottle of water to the pitch when their team lose.
btw for pictures, maybe you can try www.jakmania.org www.ligadjarum.com www.footballasia.com or www.asean-football.com cheers
