Some new projects are to be implemented in 2011. Before the New Year Eve, in some hours earlier, the new investment project has been signed in the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The world leading high class hotel under the brand “Ritz Carlton” in the area of old Batumi will be constructed by 2015.

The construction of the hotel, with 50 floors, modern architecture, 200 meters high, is to begin in May, 2011 and will finish in 2015. The hotel will offer 350 rooms, entertainment objects and shops.

According to investment contract, 1000 jobs will be created out of which 90% Georgians.

As tourist’s interest in Adjara increases, so does investors’ appetite. Under a recently signed agreement, a new five-star hotel is to be built in Batumi, a Black Sea coastal resort in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

Approximately $ 250 million will be invested in the construction works for the hotel which will be carried out by B&G Georgia, a Turkish-Georgian joint venture. The hotel will be operated by the famous Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.

The Ministry of Economy has stated that construction works will begin in May this year and will be completed by the end of May of 2013. The hotel is expected to open in 2015.

The hotel will be constructed on 9 805 sq. meter plot in the seaside park, in Batumi. The hotel will be operated the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. It will be a five-star hotel and have 300 rooms minimum, a casino and other subsequent infrastructure facilities.

I understand this was already posted in the Batumi projects thread, but this is a very large project which should be showcased in its own thread.

As stated in the article, construction of this hotel will begin this month, so if there are forumers in the Batumi area, please keep us posted.

We trying to recrute somewhone in batumi who can make pictures and post them on the site but it hasn't worked so far.
probebly I'll visite batumi this summer and make some pic's.

Thanks a lot bro! But Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center is not going to host the event. The venue for ESC 2012 is going to be a new 30 000 seats arena which will be erected near Flag Pole in Baku
