Here in Sweden we had several H&M already in the 70s Sweden.

The chain has been growing amazingly fast the latest years! I think that H&M is considered more exclusive abroad then in Sweden, not at least you can see it on the buildings were they are located, the exterior and interior. For example this one at Gran Via in Madrid:

We have eight ones in Malm÷, and all are much more moderate.

What's so special about their architecture anyway? They're just a mid-market retailer and don't go the extra mile to decorate their stores externally like the luxury brands.

pff like 2 stores in every city <100.000 and +3 stores in 100.000-300.000 and like 5+ in every city >500.000.
They pretty much look all the same and are mostly in old buildings here in Belgium.

Even my small city (pop 40.000) has an H&M store.

That's definitely not the case in the United States, however. It's exclusive to certain cities here. Cannot wait until they expand.

H&M has become a very popular destination for affordable youth clothing across Belgium. I go to H&M a least once a week to see if their is anything new(cheap) clothing I can buy. There are also differend styles of H&M. Some offer more casual cothes and others special clothing , some even offer very 'chic' clothing like suits and gala clothing. They are also pretty expensive with suits up to 300Euro...

Sadly it's all made in Taiwan.

I doubt if it could be considered exclusive anywhere. It is quite inexpensive versions of current fashions, mid to lower market. It borders on disposable fashion.

There are more of them in Toronto, but they all look pretty much the same as those Vancouver ones posted above.

H&M is considered to be exclusive in Asia, especially with few stores in this part of the world. Case and point: there are no H&M stores in the Philippines, and some of my friends go crazy when shopping at an H&M store (the closest ones are in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou) because of the relative rarity of what they're buying compared to what we have back home.
