Fantastic pictures. Keep on the good work!

@Andre Idol
The most of the Netherlands is flat, but in the area where Maastrciht lies (Zuid-Limburg) there are hills till 321 meters high.

Wonderful images, everyone!
Besides Amsterdam and Rotterdam, which would be your recommendations to visit? Based exclusively on these images, I would like to see Maastricht and The Hague!

Maastricht and The Hague are excellent choices. Unfortunately, Maastricht is relatively isolated from the rest of the country, about 2,5 hours by train from Amsterdam. The Hague is very close to both Rotterdam and Amsterdam.

If you plan on staying a bit longer, make sure to visit Delft, Leiden and Gouda, which are all very close to Rotterdam and the Hague. These are three smaller cities with a very interesting history.

... talking of which...

Almere
Population: 191,493 (7th)

Almere is the youngest city of the Netherlands. Built on reclaimed land, it was founded in 1975 and has grown into the seventh city of the country, after recently surpassing Groningen.

The intention of Almere was to be a suburb/satellite city of Amsterdam. Large parts of the city consist of the terraced houses that typified Dutch residential development throughout the 1970's-1990's. It was supposed to have 250,000 inhabitants by the year 2000, but that target was not reached. It is likely however, that one day it will reach it.

Now that it's grown into a sizeable community, it's city center has been refurbished over the last couple of years with large retail, residential and office developments.

The "Carlton" tower is the tallest building of Almere (120m)

The recently completed "Landdrost" development. The tallest tower will house offices, while the second tallest will house a college.

Utrecht
Part 1

Population: 312,634

Utrecht is the fourth largest city of the Netherlands, and is one of the fastest growing cities of the country. It is expected that in 2040, the city will have around 450,000 inhabitants. The metropolitan area is currently home to about 650,000 people.

Utrecht is well known for being home to the largest and highest rated university in the Netherlands, and has a very large student population. It also is an important railway hub, and it's historic city center is one of the best in the Netherlands.

The pictures were taken during a rainy day in september last year, the city usually looks better and more lively
