Rotterdam: Small and cute, doesn't need huge towers in this city looks good.
Madrid:The four towers are very modern they all stand out will be a great skyscraper city.
Istanbul: looks like they have something going.
Warsaw: Having a boom in construction it will look very good and it already has a good tower city. Will look much better with some very tall.
Moscow: Some very impressive super talls, nice design of them and good cluster to make it look very good, looks nice at night probably best in Europe.
London has high-rises all across the city which gives it such a massive feel I find.

On another note ... The Shard is such a beacon

Impressive Franfurt pics!

I think Moscow realy has the most daring modern skyscrapers. I really wonder what the town will look like in 10 years.

The *****-shaped buildings in Barcelona and London are also pretty daring though

I still think the Paris skyline is one of the best in the world. The large straight axis from the louvre, via the arc de triomphe, to la Dfense is just breathtaking (if you look straight towards it of course). The Eifel tower also nicely sticks out.

If you look at the hight of skyscrapers you see a top ten very fast, but some city's are smaller and other city's have a lot more money, so than it is another story.

now i really think i have to upgrade frankfurt to number one in my list. but i guess i'd still go for my underdog... (for some personal reaasons)
1. Benidorm- not so good architecturally, and not at par when it comes to height but it has
the only continious skyline in more vantage points.
2. Frankfurt- well-clustered, good architecture, has the height factor, but kinda feel like still
missing something.
3. Paris- well-balanced and has continuity.
4. London- would have faired higher but the great skyscrapers are scattered all over which
kind of feels like a blasphemy to its heritage structures.
5. Moscow- for the great potential. has a good start with its nicely designed skyscrpers.

I also prefer a concentration of skyscrapers at one place instead of skyscrapers being spread over a large area. This way you can keep the old city intact and at the same time enjoy enjoy the benefits of a modern business district. I like the London skyline, but I think it's a bit of a shame that the old buildings do not really stand out anymore. European cities does not have look like all the interchangeable modern American, Australian or Asian cities, they should maintain their own style.

exactly! that's one reason why i'm not that impressed with london although it boasts some of the most architecturally superior skyscrapers in Europe. I just think they don't complement the city as a whole. paris is a different story though, it has made a good cluster of skyscrapers without much negtive effects to its old historic architectures nearby. i just think that european cities do not need massive skylines, they're great without them...

Frankfurt had at least thirty years of building a skyline while Moscow started their majesty in like 2002. So who do you think has a "head start" and fast progress?
