To me Moscow belongs to Russia and Istanbul to Turkey.
Both countries are obviously not comprehensively located
in Europe.

You forgot Kazakhstan.

Russia's culture is rooted in the core pan-European culture.
(Wikipedia)
European Russia (also Western Russia or Central Russia) refers to the Western areas of Russia that lie within Europe, comprising roughly 3,960,000 square kilometres (1,528,560 mi²), larger in area than India, and spanning across 40% of Europe. Its Eastern border is defined by the Ural Mountains and in the South it is defined by the border with Kazakhstan. This area includes Moscow and St. Petersburg, the two largest cities of Russia.

Roughly 78% of the entire Russian population (about 110,000,000 people out of an approximate total Russian population of 141,000,000) lives in European Russia, at an average of 27 persons per km² (10.5 per mi²). However, 75% of Russia's territory lies within Asia and accommodates only 22% of its population at 2.5 persons per km² (0.95 per mi²)

Actually nothing new. But lets concentrate on skylines,
I certainly don´t expect any geographic or political experts in this forum....

Don´t worry.

"My" Google/ Mozilla machine works properly and only shows Berlin skylines and nothing else.

To be precise, the UK isn't located in Europe either.

The Google Image hit count is only the last confirmation
that Berlin has one of the top prominent skylines in Europe and the globe.
It is actually not a surprise either....

I guess in this forum, where height is god,
nobody argues the premier status of Berlins skyline in Europe.

Well, London did have a good try to come close with the Shard.
Congrats to the Brits, now the skyline rank is number 2,
keep up the effort...

Berlin might be one of the "best" and most interesting cities in Europe/World, however, not in regard to its skyline
The highrises are too scattered around the city. I guess more a candidate for the Top 20-skylines.

Dr.Cosmo should better continue to edit and plagiarize Wikipedia articles instead of trolling the threads on here.

I guess Google Image Count is also trolling. Hehe. Great theory.

Not that I´m expecting a sophistaced judgement on Europes skylines here
but I am shocked that some German lemmings repeat nonsense.

I assume that this forum has a distorted view/definition of skyline which is not matched by the majority of people, the avarage guy. The reason is obvious, this is a skyscraperpage. Most users inevitably seem to believe that skyscrapers, and I mean only skyscraper buildings define a skyline.

Berlin has the most diverse skyline in Europe. Its peak is the highest in Europe.

Urm...yes it is. It might not be on the main continent (Mainland Europe), but it's still a European country.
