My favourite skylines in Europe are Frankfurt and London sharing the first place.
So what is the matter, that I don't like the gerkin? There is enough crap in Frankfurt, too.

But in your thread you advertise in your signature, you say London has the most overrated skyline in the world

Yes. So what? The poll is about most overrated sykline and not about overrtaing as general. Frankfurt is overrated, too (mostly not by Germans, btw)
London is more overrated to me for the moment, because of some kind of permanent overhyping some good projects - hyping it to a place equal to real booming asian cities.
So I can still think, both skylines are the leading ones in Europe

in Math-formula
London (overhypted) = Frankfurt (normally overrated) > Rest

you seem quite anti-london? You also have no taste in architecture, and nothing you say has credibilty since your comments about the gherkin. And whoever said 'people over rate the gherkins fame' you are deluded. Aside from ESB, Chrysler, Bank of china and burj khalifa, gherkin is the most recognisable skyscraper on the planet.

Um... London is shaping up wonderfully, but the gherkin is the most recognizable skyscraper in Britain. It's hyped to death in your country perhaps. What's true in Britain isn't true around the world.

Okay...now you are getting megalomaniacal!
And I always respected the Brits for their understatement...
Autothrill and SO143 aren't really British, are they?

Never said it could, merely that it is extremely recognisable. Show a picture of it to many internationals and they will tell you what it is and where it is!

I thought the picture was a city in Poland, I wouldn't think it was Rotterdam, interesting.

You're a moron.

With the Gherkin... I think both sides of the argument are exaggerated. It's probably not (as some pro-London people have said) instantly recognisable across the world - but it is still a famous global landmark that I'm sure many people across all continents would recognise (and not little known outside of Britain, as some have made out!).

More on topic, Moscow 1st atm, Frankfurt and London 2nd. Come 2014, I'd put London alongside Moscow as the best in Europe, however.

I also think, if the skyscrapers construction in London continues Moscow and London will have similar "type" of their skylines.
