By the way, I still don't know, if the skyscraper cluster is on the european or asian side.

And for Miuw's Moscow pics:
Moscow is so gigantic and spread out, that it still looks rather flat (even though there are lots of skyscrapers and some super talls), compared to Frankfurt, London and Paris.

i did not say it for real there are good projects/constructions in frankfurt and paris. istanbul has also nice projects and constructions. for example spine tower, özdilek plaza towers etc etc..

btw, Istanbul's Asian Side

i am disappointed of istanbul. like 5 years ago all turks in the forum were going wild "in 5 years we'll have the best skyline in europe, we've got 20 skyscrapers under construction, bla"

now i look at the skyline and barely nothing has changed. or propably there have been changes, but the skyline still looks like undefined widespread. i'm just disappointed.

than it will take 5 more years. If you check the highrise and skyscraper quick links there are still many projects going on in istanbul to make the skyline more dense. Of course there is always much euphorie and loud shouting, when towers are approved and going to rise, but the result/impact is often not the same as proposed or expected or hoped.
When you compare skylines you have to compare the current situation. All the shouting how it could be or should be or shit be in blah blah times is annoying in not accurate. Current situation is a battle between FFM and London

Sapphire really looks gorgeous though...

Edit:
But if the main cluster is on the asian side (as I understand), why is it in this thread about european skylines?

The main cluster is NOT on the asian side, it's on the european side. It was a banner just a few days ago.

I wasn't here 5 years ago so I don't know what they were saying then but the economic crisis hit our main cluster pretty hard and Dubai Towers of Istanbul got canceled by court decision, Sapphire is the only real addiction there in the past 5 years. But the situation has changed and the main cluster (Levent) now got 5 projects U/C and 5 projects prep, Istanbul in total got at least 30 projects U/C and 16 projects prep. I can provide proof for each statement so it's not just "bla"

You can see all projects on a google map: http://g.co/maps/bbfv3

Edit: I found a 5 years old skyline picture from the same location, as I said the main cluster hasn't changed much except Sapphire but the rest is changed

you are right, it has changed quite a bit. from that angle it still looks widespread. do you have any pictures from another angle, where the sykline visually forms a real cluster?

Like these? This is the main cluster Levent, then we have Maslak, Sisli, Bomonti, Atasehir and Ümraniye clusters
