Basrawi is just a kid with serious metal issues and it seems as a result of suffers what is commonly known as "that time of the month" but rather than once per month, on a daily basis. Didn't expect anything else from him.

I shall remind him that his goat herder leaders were hiding in Kurdistan and it was these "wimps" protecting them from their sunni bros. I shall also remind them that they never had ANY success against saddam what so ever even with their population and Basrah advantage.

umm, actually most the provinces fell to the Iraqi rebels during the 1991 revolution until the Americans pulled out and allowed the Iraqi Air force to come in. otherwise the revolution would have succeeded. the only reason it succeeded in kurdistan was because of the no fly-zone which was imposed. Saddam also focused his forces in to the oil rich south instead. that is where the majority of the income comes from after all...

Remember one thing, the 1991 revolution started in Basrah, that's the only reason Kurds got autonomy. it prompted the kurds to rebel.

Rhode Island Air National Guard training Iraqi flight crews on latest version of transport plane

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. -- Since June members of Rhode Island's Air National Guard have been helping train 30 Iraqi Air Force pilots and maintenance crews at Quonset Point on flying the latest version of a venerable transport aircraft.

Next week they will fly to Baghdad with many of those Iraqis as part of an aircraft acquisition program that will see Iraq eventually purchase six C-130Js.

On Tuesday morning at Quonset, members of the 143rd Airlift Wing, which was the first U.S. Air Force unit to fly the C-130J in combat, in 2001, were making arrangements with their Iraqi colleagues for the first leg of their trip: an acceptance ceremony Wednesday at Lockheed-Martin's facility in Marietta, Georgia.

Iraq is paying $681.4 million for the planes and support training, according to a statement by the Rhode Island National Guard.

This is how they look like.

and also the Iraqi Airways planes are "part time" air force cargo.

the AN32B and C130Js can be used as makeshift bombers. (which iraq did use against Iran back in the 1980s)

Still not enough transport aircrafts for Iraq’s military size, we could use some C17’s.
The UAE has a much smaller ground army then Iraq though more transport aircraft.

Iraq will have access to 15 dedicated cargo/bomber aircraft

30 "part time" cargo / passenger planes.

That's enough for now. Iraq has more pressing shortages in the military (combat aircraft and Main Battle Tanks).

In a telephone linkup on Wednesday Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki the implementation of agreements reached during the Iraqi Premier’s visit to Moscow on October.
Mr. Maliki then said his country planned to buy defensive and counterterrorism weapons from Russia, but reports circulated a month later alleged that Baghdad had annulled the deal.

During his Tuesday’s visit to Moscow the head of the Iraqi parliament’s foreign affairs committee Humam Hamoude told the Voice of Russia that the deal had simply been put on ice for the time being.
