Violence going down because al Qaeda are going elsewhere is not good, because it means they are still able to inflict violence.

Violence going down because they are being caught by the security services and executed by the state is what we need.

I agree with most of what you said spin cycle. except for the last statment

catching them and executing them is what has been happening for years.. but that alone is not enough..

the only way to defeat them is to cut their finance, and the support base.. and we all know who is giving them both..

yes absolutely. They need to be defeated at their roots.

What I mean is that at the very least, we should be able to catch them and execute them. The problem is that even when we do catch them, and even when they do get death penalties, they often don't receive their sentences because of support they have within elements of the government.

AFAIK there are hundreds on death row, yet I think in 2010 only 3 were executed? I think the numbers went up last year though.

nah their not being executed, spinny is right. they are being locked up, until a period where they can escape before they are hanged, because talabani doesnt sign the papers for them to get hanged.

This is a good interpretation. The salaf and whabiya load their cars of with explosives heading to baghdad since thats where any peaceful sunna and shi3a live, and the salaf/whabiya dont want unity between them. Anyways, on the way, they realize that theirs too many check-points ahead of them. So instead of taking the car to Baghdad, they head to a place where their is a police car, or police station, and their they explode the car. Why? Not because the cops are necessarily shi3ee. The police their where probably actually sunni themselves and great good people... but the purpose is to kill the police as they work under the government's control and destroy Iraq, causing the people to think that the government is in-control of the situation.. you know the rest.

Okay. I don't think they're necessarily heading to Baghdad and decided to stay in say Anbar instead. Checkpoints are not a problem for the terrorists LOL and most of them are in the city of Baghdad anyway. But yeah I completely agree with everything else you wrote, but it has nothing to do with your original statement, so explain this:

أعلنت وزارة الدفاع عن تنظيمها معرضا دوليا للطيران منتصف شهر نيسان المقبل هو الأول من نوعه منذ احتلال العراق عام 2003،.

وسيقام المعرض برعاية رئيس الوزراء القائد العام للقوات المسلحة وتشرف على تنظيمه الشركة المتحدة للمعارض والمؤتمرات على أرض معرض بغداد الدولي للفترة من الخامس عشر لغاية الثامن عشر من شهر نيسان المقبل 2012

ويهدف المعرض الى البحث عن المنتجات الدفاعية والأمنية الملائمة لإعادة تأهيل وتحديث الجيش العراقي لمواكبة التطورات الحديثة بعد خروج القوات الاميركية منه.

وفيما يسعى العراق إلى تحديث وتطوير قدراته الدفاعية في مختلف المجالات استعدادا للاعتماد على ذاته بعيد انسحاب القوات الأميركية بعد احتلال استمر 9 أعوام، فان شراء المعدات والآليات العسكرية والدفاعية والمنظومات والتقنيات التي تحفظ أمنه الداخلي والخارجي تقف على سلم أولويات القيادتين العسكرية والأمنية في العراق.

وذكرت مصادر الجهة المنظمة للمعرض أن المعرض سيشمل الطائرات المقاتلة المتقدمة والمتصدية وطائرات الإسناد الجوي القريب وطائرات التدريب المتقدم والطائرات الاستطلاعية بدون طيار وطائرات النقل الخفيف وطائرات النقل المتوسط وطائرات النقل الثقيل وطائرات النقل المسلحة وطائرات النقل غير المسلحة، وكافة أنواع رادارات الإنذار المبكر؛ رادار الكشف، رادار المتابعة، ورادار كشف حركة الأشخاص، وتجهيزات الطيارين والفنيين منظومة الاتصالات المتقدمة بين القواعد سلكية ولاسلكية منظومة سيطرة مقاتلات لمنظومة قواطع الدفاع الجوي، وآليات ومعدات التموين والنقل، مركبات الإنقاذ والإسعاف الأولي، ومنظومة الصواريخ بعيدة المدى ارض جو راداري – نصف راداري، متوسط المدى ارض جو راداري ونصف راداري قصيرة المدى حرارية مقاومة طائرات ثقيلة– متوسطة– خفيفة كما وتعرض نماذج شتى من منظومات الإنذار المبكر؛ كمنظومة الاتصالات الخاصة بالدفاع الجوي، بناء المطارات مع ملحقات إعادة تأهيل المطارات، الأجهزة الملاحية الخاصة بالطائرات.

و سيشمل المعرض المعدات الحربية الثقيلة والخفيفة والمستلزمات والتجهيزات العسكرية والطائرات على اختلاف أنواعها والرادارات ومعدات الدفاع الجوي، والأسلحة والعجلات والتجهيزات ومعدات مكافحة الإرهاب والجرائم ومعدات وأجهزة الدفاع المدني وتجهيزات ومعدات الإنقاذ للشرطة النهرية ومنظومات الكاميرات وتجهيزات فض الشغب وأجهزة تنصت ومراقبة ليلية وأجهزة مكافحة التهريب والكشف عن المخدرات.

وتعرض الشركات المشاركة في المعرض معدات وأسلحة تستخدم من قبل القوات البرية تشتمل على الدبابات والأسلحة المقاومة للدبابات الخفيفة والثقيلة، المدرعات المجنزرة، المدرعات المدولبة، مركبات الاستطلاع، المدافع بمختلف أنواعها الثابتة والمتحركة، ناقلات المعدات الثقيلة والآليات الاختصاصية، معدات وتجهيزات قوات التدخل السريع، معدات ووسائل التعليم والتدريب لمختلف أنواع الأسلحة، المناظير الشخصية والليلية بالأشعة تحت الحمراء، معدات الاتصال والمخابرات، أجهزة ليزر لقياس المسافة منظار رصد حدودي ( لقوات الحدود) مسدس (سلاح شخصي) بندقية خفيفة اوتوماتيك (آلية) (سلاح الجندي) بندقية خفيفة قصيرة اوتوماتيك (آلية) (سلاح جندي دروع) أجهزة لاسلكية، منظومة اتصال متكاملة لمستوى مختلف التشكيلات، ومعدات وأجهزة نزع الألغام وأجهزة الإنذار المبكر والطبابة العسكرية ومستلزماتها وتقنيات الأطراف الصناعية والتجهيزات العسكرية على اختلاف أنواعها الهندسة العسكرية ومعدات الإنقاذ الشرطة النهرية تجهيزات ومعدات إنقاذ حرس الحدود وتجهيزات ومعدات مراقبة وحماية الحدود وملابس وتجهيزات المقاتل (الميدان والقيافة) عجلات الحمل والعجلات الاختصاصية الدروع الشخصية وشركات الرتب والأوسمة والأنواط.

وستعرض في المعرض اجهزة واسلحة خاصة بالشرطة كنماذج من عجلات الإطفاء ووسائل الإطفاء الحديثة ونماذج من عجلات الإنقاذ الحديثة نماذج من وسائل كشف اثأر الجريمة المستخدمة من قبل الشرطة ونماذج من الرادارات المستخدمة في المراقبة الحدودية ومنظومة كاميرات حديثة والسلاح والعتاد الخاص بعمليات فض الشغب مثال ذلك العتاد المطاطي والأسلحة الخاصة به، والقنابل المسيلة للدموع والأسلحة الخاصة بها والعصا الكهربائية والتجهيزات الشخصية الأخرى الخاصة بفض الشغب . نماذج من عجلات فض الشغب الأسلحة الرشاشة القصيرة جداً الخاصة بحماية الشخصيات المهمة نماذج من الملابس والتجهيزات الشخصية الخاصة بالشرطة وحرس الحدود نماذج من العجلات والآليات المستخدمة من قبل الشرطة الكلاب البوليسية ونماذج من الأطعمة والأدوية الخاصة بها والتدريب عليها تقنيات الكشف عن المتفجرات، اجهزة التنصت والمراقبة الليلية والكاميرات، أجهزة حماية المنشاة العسكرية، أسلحة وتجهيزات الحماية الشخصية الدفاع المدني أجهزة ومعدات مكافحة الجرائم أجهزة الكشف عن المخدرات ومكافحة التهريب.

ويتوقع ان يكون المعرض فرصة امام لجان العقود والمشتريات التابعة لوزارات الدفاع والداخلية للاطلاع على الأسلحة والأنظمة الدفاعية المعروضة وإبرام ما يلزمها من صفقات شرائية خلال أيام المعرض وبعد انتهائه.

العراق : الاعلان عن تصنيع طائرة استطلاع من دون طيار


أعلنت وزارة العلوم والتكنولوجيا العراقية، اليوم عن تصنيع طائرة من دون طيّار أطلق عليها اسم 'بغداد'.

وذكر بيان للوزارة أن "دائرة البحث والتطوير الصناعي في وزارة العلوم والتكنولوجيا تمكّنت من تصنيع طائرة مسيّرة من دون طيّار حملت اسم 'بغداد'".

وأوضح أن "الطائرة تعمل بواسطة الراديو، ويتكون هيكلها من الفلّين والخشب والألمنيوم والألياف الزجاجية، وأنها صُمّمت لتكون قادرة على القيام بعمليات الإستطلاع الجوي القريب ونقل المعلومات الميدانية ومراقبة الغابات والحياة البرية في حالات الكوارث الطبيعية والحوادث".

وأشار الى أن "الطائرة مزّودة بمعدّات إلكترونية تعمل بواسطة محرك كهربائي، وتتم عملية إطلاقها بواسطة اليد أو جهاز إطلاق أرضي وتستخدم الشبكة الأرضية لإيقافها في عملية الهبوط".

وقال البيان إنه "تم إجراء فحص الطائرة من خلال ثلاث طلعات متتالية لغرض فحص الإستقرارية والمناورة والسرعة والهبوط بسلام"، لافتاً الى أن "النتائج كانت إيجابية".

وأضاف أن "الطائرة التي تعد ثاني طائرة إستطلاع في العراق بعد الطائرة المسيّرة المعروفة باسم 'النسر 1' أخضعت للتصوير الجوي بعد تثبيت كاميرا بسيطة عليها ولمدة طيران بلغت ثماني دقائق".
