COWARD CORRUPT SHURTA DAY:
The celebrations for the 7th annual declaration of the Federal Police Force: These are not army but police, it seems everyone loves this camo in Iraq! ![]() ![]() ![]() Bomb squads ![]() ![]() ![]() Usual creepy shurta: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Traffic police: ![]() Riot police: ![]() K-9 squads: ![]() And, yet, there is a good thing about the interior ministry, they have the fast intervention force, something similar to the the PM office ISOF (Iraqi Special Operations Force), they look good, and were involved in some successful operation too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You can see that the interior ministry in iraq is still determined to use the AK-47 arms, the Army is switching to M16 and M4 gradually. |

Our special forces are one of the best special forces in the whole world !
they took the strongest men from each town in Iraq.. and made this new special forces team.. they never show their faces to public though.. and until now, they have very few fighters lost. their motto is : "May you sleep peacefully in your bed tonight for a might swords stands ready to strike fear in the hearts of those who would terrorize us!" Translation to English from Wikipedia as Basrawi mentioned, they wear black ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() their skulls logo ![]() ![]()

From Basrawii's post #121
"2- M1A1 Abrams Tank training: 9th mechanized brigade (Actually, most of the commanders of this brigade served in the past Iraqi republican guard, they r w8ing for the pull-out to declare the same name for it)." I don't know how credible that is but I'll take Basrawii's word for it. Last edited by Ksharp1Fan; November 26th, 2011 at 04:05 PM. |

There are lot's of common patterns between the old army and the new one, I dunno if that's good or not, in Saddam's time there was the FIDA3EEN, they also used to wear black and do all kind of tasks any other special ops team can't do, they might look something like our new ISOF. Of course, our ISOF is very different when it comes to faith and execution of tasks.

Iraq F-16 Order Finally Confirmed
07/ December/ 2011 Iraq wants to make a deal with the United States for another 18 F-16 multi-role fighters to expand its fledgling air force, according to reports from UPI and Aviation Week. Lockheed Martin won the deal to provide 12 F-16C and six F-16D Block 52 aircraft, plus spares and support. The contract runs through May 2018. UPI values the contract at around $4.5 billion, while Aviation Week has a figure of $835 million. The jets will have advanced electronic systems, including the APG-68v9 radars, the most modern available to Block 50 aircraft, and countermeasures systems. They will be armed with Raytheon’s AIM-120 advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles, which can be fired beyond visual range. Iraq’s formerly powerful air force was essentially wiped out by U.S. and coalition forces in the 1991 war over Kuwait, and grounded throughout the U.S. invasion in 2003. The U.S.-approved plan to rebuild a self-sufficient air force envisions a strength of 350 aircraft and 20,000 personnel by 2020. According to UPI, 18 F-16s aircraft, or even 36, will be far too few to effectively cover Iraq, an area of 169,234 square miles. “So looking at Iraq’s position in the region, having those planes is not much,” Ali Musawi, a close aide of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, observed recently. “But it is a beginning.” Iraqi officials have talked of building a force of 96 F-16s, enough for five squadrons, using windfall profits from oil exports to bankroll the acquisitions. But no final figure has been announced. Right now, the air force has no firepower at all. The first batch of Iraqi fighter pilots is training at the Iraqi Air Force Academy at Tikrit Air Base, north of Baghdad, which opened in 2010. The Pentagon has indicated that possible sales to Iraq include a Lockheed Martin AN/FPS-117 phased array long-range air search radar, worth about $142 million, and at least one King Air 350 ER aircraft for ISR, worth around $900 million.

Good news. I think we are making some smart moves, like the King Air 350ER, it is a great ISR plane, the US. Air Force is buying more and more of them, as they cost less operating fees and do the job exactly. I think we should focus more on UAVs and UACVs. Those, have been handy in the past when the Americans were there.
BTW, we are going to lose 80 flights per day, used to be conducted by the US. Air Force to protect our skies, so we are going to fight blindly from now and on! |
