SHANGHAI | Oriental Financial Center | 200m | Com

I thought I would start a thread for this skyscraper currently U/C just across the road from Shanghai Tower.

Not a lot is known about the tower, the height is thought to be around 220m and therefore I'd guess the floor count will be around 40. The presumed design:

As you can see, this building is now well under construction (yellow crane)

Please post sources for the height and the render or we'll have to close this thread.

Architects' site (Pei Partnership) mentions 210 m, but the design on their webpage is not up to date (according to what fragel and Nordschleife said in ST thread). Emporis mentions 200 m and presents same design as on Pei site. There is also some discrapency in floor area - according to architects' site it is 96 000 sq m, according to construction company 25 975 sq m (but it was google-translated from Chinese, so it may be wrong )

All useful pages I've found:
Project on Pei Partnership site
Project on Emporis
Project on construction company's site
Some PDF from Pei Parntership

The government documents are pretty good sources. Too bad the Pei partnership links are useless as of today.

The Third Construction Co. Ltd of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division is in charge of the project base(the third link Piotrek00 listed), and was awarded for its work on Lujiazui X3-2 (link).

Jinggong Steel Building Group (长江精工钢结构有限公司) is the company in charge of the steel structure of the project (its main projects include Bird Nest, Beijing Capital Airport Terminal 3, Guangzhou TV and Sightseeing Tower and SWFC), and this is their introduction of the X3-2 project:
Quote:
translation:
Quote:
The total floor area of the project is about 120 K square meters, with about 90K sq m above ground and 30K sq m below the ground. The project has a height of 200m, 31 fl above ground and 4 basement levels. It adopts a dual rectangular shaped steel-concrete composite framed tube structure with four core tubes in the inner corners. About 15 K tons of steel will be used.

Hope more official info can be found, as the progress of this project can be seen in Shanghai Tower thread and has drawn much interest.

So it's indeed a 200m+! Lujiazui last plot, isn't it? Unless you count the shipyard area.

djm160190 - great that you made this thread - finally we have some precise information on this project, and it's a little bit less mysterious

I'm glad we've managed to find sources for this one! Even without sources it's obvious something is u/c here and needs a thread!
