Southeast City Aerials
Got 'em? Post 'em!
I love the way aerials give a great view of the scope and layout of cities so I compiled a thread of aerial photos of southern cities most of them from flickr. (Notice I said southern rather than southeast since Texas is nowhere near the southeast). Some pics are better than others obvioulsy. Feel free to add more. Austin - shmat ![]() Birmingham - CP ![]() Jacksonvile ![]() Oklahoma City - KaptainKrispyKreme ![]() Charlotte ![]() Memphis ![]() Tampa ![]() Atlanta - Philipshone photography ![]() Dallas - KaptainKrispyKreme ![]() Houston - shmat ![]() ![]() Miami

Houston - shmat
![]() ![]() I'm v impressed with the density in Houston. It's not Chicago or NYC but it's more dense than LA. Would you say Houston has the greatest density of skyscrapers outside Chicago and NYC in the USA (maybe North America because it actually looks denser than Toronto from these pics)? I've been to NYC (several times), Chicago and Toronto but not Houston. What is there for the tourist in Houston? |

I have never been to Houston, but the density of its skyline is amazing. Nice to see that they have maintained some older buildings, too. Certainly a very powerful image for any city.

I love the shot of Dallas. You can see what look's like swamps near the downtown. It's very cool.

Those are kick-ass aerials!! Houston is quite dense and Jacksonville is less dense than it looks from grade level. Birmingham is quite the spread....Austin is getting packed in there. Lets see some more!!!
