Is it going to have this white glowy translucence to it in real life? Or is it just for the renders?

It's supposed to look like the renders but we'll see whether the architects pull it off once the facelift completed...

This is insane. Those buildings are the landmarks of Paris extra ordinary architectures and those criminal minded people should need to stop crashing out those buildings.

^ err, nobody is touching the La Samaritaine buildings, for any other reason than their restoration.

Thank yor updating this thread : ) It gave me an occasion to see the previous post with the sample of cladding and it looks very promising.

Regarding all the people being so upset about how Paris is losing what makes it special by destroying all -yet pretty common- buildings, please calm down. Just tearing down this tiny block won't change anything to the perception one may well have of the city as 99.99 % of the other pre-war buildings remain.

Plus, when you take into account that the rest of Samaritaine is mostly of Art Deco style, then it means they very likely destroyed the same kind of pre wwi buildings in the first place to come up with the newer ones. Yet everybody would agree they are Art Deco masterpieces that should have never existed according to people like you.
