the calendar picture doesnt really give it the size it should have, on that angle signature tower would look a lot and i mean A LOT taller, just compare it to se other picture few posts above.

also no other building in jakarta is over 300m

Just because of one big tower? A city has to offer some more to get people interested. Besides that most tourists have no interest in skyscrapers. They use the capitalcity just as a hub to get into the country.

Tinggi Signature Tower akan mencapai 638 meter dan masuk 20 gedung tertinggi di dunia tahun 2020. Gedung yang atapnya mirip nanas ini menjadi salah satu bangunan mixed-use di Jakarta yang berkelas dunia.

Jakarta - Signature Tower that is predicted will be the tallest building in Indonesia and the highest to-5 world planned to begin construction this year. Building with 111 floors will begin construction in July 2012 in the SCBD, Jakarta.

"Tentative starting from July 2012," Tomy told detikFinance, Friday (01/06/2012)

Tomy also said that this project will cost and U.S. $ 1 billion or equivalent to Rp 9 trillion. Although Tomy did not elaborate further, but this is getting to make sure the news earlier that Indonesia will have a new icon with the tallest building located in the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD).

High Signature Tower will reach 638 meters and the top 20 highest building in the world in 2020. Pineapple-like building whose roof was one of mixed-use buildings in Jakarta are world class.

It's only a matter of time now till Taipei 101 is relegated out of the top 10 tallest with so many supertalls exceeding 509m. Just think, only two and a half years ago it was still officially the tallest completed building.

I totally agree. Taipei 101 was officially the world's tallest building until two years ago. In 2015, it will fall to the 7th or 8th, and in 2020 probably will not be in the top 15.

The world today is very dynamic...

If all current 500m+ projects stay on schedule, Taipei 101 will drop out of the top 10 by 2016 and out of the top 20 by 2020. The Empire State Building will be out of the top 50 by 2020...unbelievable!
