Face it, this guy has wasted our money, ruined a great transit plan, and is struggling to find ways to cover his unnecessary subway. All the while TTC fares WILL increase.

Just a reminder, tonight there will be a massive rally from 5:30pm until Midnight. If you care about this city and want to be heard now is your chance.
Ford wants to use that money to pay off the fall out from Transit City? (yet they want to cut 15 million of city services) I didn't realize that. Any councillor who votes for that, needs to be booted out of office, along with Ford. I really can't believe the stupidity that goes on at city council.

Wasn't it just recently that Ford told us we had an over 700 million debt this year? We can't believe a word that comes out of that lier's mouth. The guy has no integrity at all. I hate when politicians play politics.

I can guess how the Sun is going to portray the story tomorrow, hopefully protestors break once they realize they won. Otherwise the Sun won't shut up about the "thugs" until after the next election

City-Pulse finally just called Rob Ford on his lies. Saying he was shot down tonight and even his supposed friends on the right voted against him.

LOSER!

Hey McFord, if you think the left and the centre are just going to sit down and shut up now that you lost that battle think again. We've only just started. We won't stop until we elect your replacement in 33 months. Unlike the people you want to fire, at least you have your daddies company to go pretend to work at.

You know, it was a great rally except for the few occupy idiots that were there. We get it, we all agree as the 99% we should have a bigger piece of the pie. But please learn how to deliver your message and try to do it in a manner that represents the 99%. You know, the ones who shower and do laundry.

Hopefully they don't show up to any more rallies but I think that's all they know how to do.

cbc

The city reported a $154-million surplus for 2011 and Coun. Josh Colle tried to convince council to use $15 million of that money to reduce or remove some of the more contentious cuts, such as chopping some TTC routes, wading pools, and community centres in priority neighbourhoods.

His motion succeeded.

And if you're wondering Mr McFord and his brother voted to maintain the cuts. You know the cuts he guaranteed he would not make during elections. Seems like you've lost your power down at City Hall, this is what happens when people unite against a bully. They become marginalized and of little use to anybody.

Ford said the councillors who backtracked on cuts would have to answer to their constituents. "They see money in front of them, it's like putting food in front of a dog," he said.

So now he just insulted the people who he thought until today were on his side, LOL he has no clue how to maintain support.

Asked about the protests, the mayor said it was the same 500 people "over and over again. That's fine by me."

That's funny, it was 1000 and it was a first for me. More proof he can't count.

Yeah, these degenerates who are there to start shit are actually hurting their own cause....and the cause of every person gathered there. Not much that can be done about it though.

Well at least the news was reporting that the only people left about 70, were all Occupy Protesters. All the real protesters left after the speeches. The Occupiers have zero clue how to get people to respect them. In fact their tactics are pushing people away. Time to grow up kids. I bumped into two girls after in a bar in Riverside that work for A.C.O.R.N and they were saying they had wished the Occupy people had never shown up. They brought nothing to contribute.

Protesters need to understand that one of their major goals should be to get the general public on their side......otherwise, it's not just pointless, but counter-productive.

That's why I wore a suit and tie to the protest, I kid you not. I figured my tie would help offset at least one hippy even if we are there for the same reason. Unfortunately there was one man dressed as a wizard, no suit in the world could have offset that guy.

I didn't want to go to the Sun page but I saw the title of their article in a google search and had to. Oh how this must be pissing off Ford and his buddies right now.

Check out their article title and the picture they posted of our beloved mayor they took Tuesday night. he looks like somebody just stole his Lollipop.

Ford's budget gets 'middle' finger from council

Also from this angle it looks like he's sitting in his boyfriends seat.

In fact , I may even suggest reading the article, it's the first unbiased actual news I've read in that paper in years. They actually reported and didn't twist the facts. http://www.torontosun.com/2012/01/17...-middle-finger

One has to wonder if the members of CEP 87M Union at the Sun are sick and tired of spreading this mans lies.

Unfortunately pictures like that and incidents like that justify the police getting a relative increase in their share of the city's budget while city services are cut.

Levy has been talking smack about firefighters but even she knows the police are untouchable.

Cheers, m

he doesn't have to count. He just has to choose a big lie, repeat it over and over, over and over, until people start believing him.

Cheers, m

I just saw this on Twitter.

@goldsbie
Jonathan Goldsbie
Rob Ford's Cut The Waist Challenge will no longer let you pledge to charities with "Gay" or "Bicycle" in the name, e.g. twitpic.com/88dv9s

If that's true, Ford is a real prick. If people are donating their own money to charity, who is he to tell them they can't give it to a cycling organization or gay charity? I know he hates the gays but does he really hate cyclists that much too? That's just deplorable! That man deserves nothing but contempt.
