Isn't there a merchant village in Rajasthan where the merchants instructed painters to paint pictures to decorate the outside of their houses?

Are you taking all these photos yourself?

Yes it's not specific to a village but a region called Shekhawati. All the big merchants built grand mansions and had them decorated with paintings of daily life etc. There is a sweet painting where the owner instructed the painter to draw a train. Now these painters didn't know what it looked like so he described them as huts on wheels and that's what they drew!

Coming to the pictures no I don't take them. I find them and upload them here from the website Flickr.

Seriously - some of these Art Dekho (aur dikhao) buildings look good. If maintained well, they are a good break from the usual glass/steel enclosures which are slowly making a tawdry inroad into tier 3 cities

We have a factory manufacturing textured coatings & special coatings (Paints) and since they are mainly used in Art Deco buildings (Exteriors & interiors) and we need well trained applicators, I started Fresco Art Deco.

We have done murals and large areas of textured coatings all over India & South Asia.
