Thanks, theDirector! I think it works out better categorizing everything like this, and in the Urban Showcase, I've gone as far as giving a brief description of everything so people who don't live here know what it is as well as where it is in the city depending on the category. It's a lot of work, but the thread is coming together very nicely, and categorizing things also makes me think of more good pics to add to a particular category.

In the photo below, in the Miami skyline beyond, the 425-feet tall Blue on the Bay to the far right represents the farthest north for which skyscrapers are zoned here in Miami. At least 4 over 500 feet tall were approved for as far north as 31st Street - Onyx2, Ice2, Platinum on the Bay, and the Soleil, but to this date, Paramount at Edgewater Square at 555 feet tall on NE 20th street represents the farthest extent north that Miami has buildings over 500 feet tall.

Can you believe I did my first aerial shoot in this thing? Wait until you see how it went! Miami Seaplane doesn't fly ultralights anymore, but it was fun going up in an ultralight for the first time.

Thanks, Spell! It is a bear to download, particularly on my little dinosaur. It's quicker to download on your phone? Wow! Technology sure has come a long way in a short period of time! If you and some of the other guys are wondering why your post counts went down, here is what happened:

Dear Jan:
I moved two of my picture threads to Yang because I thought they had become redundant, and I only wanted to have one in the Miami forum consisting of only my best stuff. I didn't realize the move would result in posts being deleted, which I did not want to happen. I cannot even find the threads now to try to move them back to the Miami forum. The threads are titled QuantumPX and the Best Miami Pics by QuantumX. Please, I want the guys to have their post counts back.

If you cannot find the thread in Ying, then I sure cannot. Also, moving a thread back because of someone's post count is not a very good reason mate. I wouldn't worry too much about this thing.

Thanks, Jan! I just won't worry about it then. I just wanted to correct something that was unintentional. I did discover though that the threads are listed in Yang by the date of their origin. I didn't realize that at first, so now I know that's how you find threads there. Q

I had first deleted the threads when I noticed that my post count had gone down, so I put them back. I thought simply moving them would preserve the post counts. Of course, moving them to Yang (where only moderators and administrators can see them) resulted in the post counts being deleted, which I wasn't expecting and didn't want, but only administrators can edit Yang and as you can see above is what the administrator of administrators had to say about that.

This gives you an idea of what I can do with the D5000 and likewise with the shot of downtown from the Lehman Causeway. No way could I have cropped this pic this closely with the Coolpix and gotten this kind of resolution.

This is what happened on my very first shoot from the Miami Tower. I ended up in a thunderstorm on the roof of a building over 600 feet tall. Don't try this at home even if you live at Marina Blue or Plaza at Brickell.
