Out of all my initially tossed-aside photos that I went back and fixed, this one was my most surprising find. I was very pleased with what I was able to capture here, the angle, the perspective, the look, the feel, everything.

Thanks, guys! But where am I? Sun Life Stadium! I showed up late so I didn't even have to buy a ticket to get these shots. I just told them I wanted to get some pictures of the city from the top of the stadium. The panorama from up there is actually a lot better than my capture of it!

I'm fairly amazed you were able to get in without any kind of ticket. That's usually a HUGE no-no at any NFL venue. Must have hit the right person, Q! Great stuff...

Anyway, when I showed up with the D5000 strapped around my neck asking if I could get some shots of the city from that side of the stadium, I think they assumed I had already sat through the game and got lost trying to get to the other side of the stadium. I guess I did hit the right person because somebody asked if I had a ticket, but the person who let me in ignored them figuring the game was almost over anyway I guess. I certainly look a lot more professional with the D5000 and my zoom lens with the hood on it than I did with the Coolpix. I guess a lot of you don't realize that the night shots I posted recently on the Downtown Miami Pictures thread are all mine. I didn't post them here because I called this thread the best of Miami and the Beaches, and just starting out and with no tripod, a lot of my night shots aren't so great, but I think I got off a few good ones. This one, for instance, came out a lot sharper than the other Icon Brickell I posted. image hosted on flickr

This one originally came out too dark and took a lot of photoshopping on Flickr, but was well worth it for this perspective. I know some of you don't like the Wells Fargo signage, but I LOVE seeing it lighted like this just above the lighting of Epic at the north end of Brickell Avenue on the right hand side of the street. Here it really adds height and depth to the night Miami skyline.
