Seems to be a renewed interest in the Yin+Yang proposal in here these days? Is that in anyway connected to that Riksantikvaren goes against the whole idea of Munch now?
I understand that the existing proposal is somewhat controversial, but why oh why does this happen every f...... time in big competitions here in Norway? Why cant say the riksantikvar be in from the get go, and if he hasnt anything to say about the new/existing or changed regulationplans, then he cant say s... when its getting very very close to building start! This has to come into place if you ask me! Competitions become a joke, and dont they see that other foreign and exceptional architectural offices recognizes this?! We cant longer play competitions, we must lay the ground rules from the start, and when competitions and finalising of projects there is mere formalities to proceed. How can builders and architects expect flow in projects with these completely, well, dumb rules. something must be learned from this!!!!!! I say build the museum as it is today. Yes, the Ying+Yang is also very very cool, but thats not the winner. It would have eradicated every aspect of riksantikvaren or any other protesters from say height and visibility completely. What do you guys think will happen now?

I only asked for more pictures because I had a hard time understanding how the different renders posted did connect with each other. I probably would have prefered the Ying Yang proposal, but I still think we should respect the winner and the conclusion the jury got to.

I really should wish that the politicians could trash Lambda and build Yin Yang instead....It looks so much nicer.
But why haven't anyone suggested the current building of Najonalgalleriet as Munch Museum? That must to be a lot cheaper solution than new construction. Quote:

I'm not a big fan of YinYang either. None of them were among my favorites. Wave, Ribbon or Munch island fits the area perfectly

There won't be a architectural competition for a possible Kulturhistorisk Museum? Is it possible to vote for the proposals?

They are more "alternatives" than "proposals", really. There usually are two or more alternatives put up for the politicians to choose from in regulative matters. In this case, one alternative is putting all of the museum north of Bispegata, while the other is a splitted alternative, with some museal activity on both sides of the road. Personally, I also agree on the latter.

100% agree, the city council one is a joke, right? they're obliged to provide an alternative but they've let the cleaning lady do it so the statsbygg design wins?

Those aren't designs, it would be subject to an architectural competition. Riksen is pist about that small building in middelalderparken ofcourse, so that's why it's been running a loop in the city government, even pbe likes Statsbygg alternative the best, eitherway the plot has a maximum height regulation of 54 meters - so we can well see another highrise museum (this time without the controversy.)
