These are news clips about Megaworld Buying the Old Airport Site in Mandurriao and the groundbreaking of the 20 Billion Iloilo Business Park that will come to rise in that area. This will be Iloilo's Central Business District aside from the newly launched Sta Barbara Heights Township.

These are just some of the properties Megaworld Corporation will develop in the central area of the Iloilo Business Park.

3. Commercial Strips
4. Festive Walk - The first 200 meter of the 2000 meter shopping and dining strip that will be the longest in the Philippines.

The company is setting aside P2.5 billion initially over the next two years to develop the road network within the 54.5-hectare IT park and for the construction of Richmonde Hotel Iloilo and Richmonde Tower plus two more BPO office towers within this time frame. The first retail component of the project, Festive Walk, will be completed in the latter part of 2012, after which Megaworld is set to invest more to bankroll the development until 2020.




When Andrew Tan bought into Fil Estate Land, Inc. he renamed in into Global Estate Resorts Inc with Megaworld Global Estate, Inc as its sole Marketing Arm. Global-Estate Resorts Inc., the leisure property arm of Andrew Tan-led Alliance Global Group Inc., has earmarked billions of pesos for major tourism-oriented projects all over the Philippines.




The firm will be investing around P20 billion from the period 2011 to 2020.

Lea Lara, executive director of the Iloilo Business Club (IBC), disclosed that no less than Senator Franklin Drilon made the announcement during the launching of the network of partnership for better infrastructure here recently.

“Megaworld has expressed to him that they will make Iloilo as base of their real estate development. As what Ayala made in Cebu they will do it for Iloilo,” she said.
