Freshwater Place
Pearl looks very similar to the building as well, so maybe that will take over it when completed. I love to death Souther Cross Station as well.

This poll seems too heavily swayed toward older buildings and not enough modern high rises.
-- I'm voting for Werribee Plaza which isn't even in the list

I could not put every building in the list! In terms of more modern buildings I was thinking of Recital Centre, NGV (modernish), Arts centre, Freshwater Place and some others as well as many other older ones.

I really like the city of Melbourne building...its got a haunted feel to it.
I can think of a bunch of old buildings that could be on the list that aren't...supreme court, olderfleet, safe deposit, banking museum to name a few

I agree in that it's not really right to compare the older buildings to the newer ones.
It's like comparing an old Rolls Royce Silver Ghost/original Phantom to a brand new Rolls Royce Ghost/Phantom. Both were the pinnacle of auto manufacturing during the time they were built, but the older Phantom and Silver Ghost are now genuine auto icons which will never be surpassed by modern successors. I voted for the Royal Exhibition Building. Melbourne does indeed have a lot of iconic buildings, but only one of them has a World Heritage Listing. |

Melbourne Central Tower would get my vote if it was available as an option.

And I'd say 101 Collins Street for the sexy black granite facade and impressive podium. Yay Grocon, also did my favourite building in Sydney, Governor Philip Tower.
