URBANA II

Twin 225 m high residential towers designed with a host of innovative ideas to speed up construction, improve quality and provide maximum flexibility within each apartment:
The structure is designed without shear walls within the apartments. This enables free planning within each apartment. Weight of structure minimized for huge cost savings and increased speed of construction.
The central core connects to the perimeter structure by beam-free pre-stressed flat slabs supported by permanent metal shuttering to increase speed of construction. Windows and infill panels to be the same height cost of assembly and speed of construction is greatly enhanced.
With these measures, the twin towers are forecast to be completed for occupation in 2 years, an unheard of feat in India

TWISTED TOWER

300m, 75-storey Twisted Tower (probably not the final name of the tower) providing 260 apartments that holistically address programming, cultural (Vastu), cost and speed issues to deliver this iconic tower in Kolkata in half the normal time.
The structural concept is uniquely designed to achieve apartments free of any shear walls or internal columns, thereby enabling quicker and therefore more cost effective construction, with long span pre-stressed slabs with permanent shuttering to achieve high quality at a speed of 4 days per floor.

But I'm also worried about clearance of the Project as Urbana comes under approach path of Runway 01 L/R of Kolkata Airport. I hope AAI will not create a scene to give clearance of the supertall structure.

Oh...I guess that should not be a problem as the developers must be aware of this path

@Samrat- You can make a separate thread for Mani Imperial which is coming up at Ultadanga. Also give some more info in Avani Grand And Tata Avenida thread.

Nope, but since its Phase -II, guess will not commence till Phase I is complete. However, they will construct with state of the art technology to complete it pretty fast.

Samrat da : Does the Phase 2 comprises of both the 51 storried/225M tall buildings and the 300M/75 storied building.

or

Only the 300M/75 Storied building,

Beacause the new renders dont show the 225M building along the 300M one.

Urbana II twin towers and The Twisted Tower are located at different positions relative to the current Urbana Towers, one to the left and other to the right. All 3 may come up together or one after the other, I'm not sure of that.

Urbana - II info

The Twin 225m high (51 storied) Residential towers of Urbana - II is confirmed from the site of Meinhardt, world leaders in infrastructure master planning and mep engineering consultants. Total development for twin towers is 4.2 million sq.ft.

Urbana - II

**I have a feeling that Urbana - II will be announced or launched shortly, once the Urbana - I project is about 50-60% on progress. Its a hunch, but with Urbana having got great response and selling pretty fast, the developers will not delay the second phase because it makes no sense. I'm sure currently they are getting all the necessary clearances.

Well at that speed the skeletal structure of this supertall might stand up in 300 days.. taking another 65 days as non-working days due to some reason or the other,it can stand up in a years time.... Thats Fabulous.

Also the technology being talked about, Isn't it the same technology in which most of the Supertalls in Mumbai are coming up including World one, Where the core come up first & then the Floor is build around it .

I know but ''The 42'' is a skyscraper not a supertall.

A supertall is a building/tower whose architectural height is between 300-599m.

Less than 100m = lowrises
100 - 199 m = highrises
200 - 299 m = skyscraper
300 - 599 m = supertall
600 - 899 m = megatall
900 m+ = teratall
