Actually, the facade of the structure is black, with a gradient from dark to light. I just added a color overlay layer in Photoshop to achieve the effect.

Hi!

First week of classes so quite busy but I managed to sneak in some Sketchup work in between. The stadium will be undergoing a major revamp but with still the same basic shape and color but with more details including some interior shots. This is because I'll be making a photorealistic animation of the stadium after its completion and I want to tour every nook and cranny of it. As a result, there'll be new details like more support trusses, spot lights, new stairwells, a podium, a plaza and the one I'm working on right now, a new stadium bowl. I patterned the design after the Beira Rio stadium in Brazil as well as Soccer City South Africa. I might add seats but I'm clueless as how to add them fast and easy. A quick render of the new bowl.



It's now to scale, and slightly less steep than the other one. Will be posting more updates whenever I have time. Feedback is greatly appreciated.

lucian: Yes, I noticed you seldom post now. School work is just tiresome LOL. I was brainstorming for my thesis project and decided to do a new render while passing the time. I think I over-did the post prod stuff. LOL. However, you may be seeing enormous changes on the stadium on the next renders as I'll be working on reshaping the facade and roof a little bit. Meanwhile, here's the render of how it's looking right now.

aismanggo: Terima kasih! (you're Malay right? I can speak a bit of Malaysian. ) You already have great ideas and I really loved that Convention Center design you made. Hope to see more works from you soon! ;D

Meanwhile here's an update for my stadium, which I redesigned from scratch. Again. LOL. This is more detailed and I paid more attention to the structural aspects of it. I'm also planning to add seats as well as a photorealistic animation of the stadium now that I know how to do it. Here are the updates!



The stadium's shape is basically similar but it is now lower and with more supports for the facade.



And the new roof with more trusses and beams for support. I've yet to add the stadium lights.

More updates, hopefully.

DS: Thank DS! I'm glad you found them nice. Yes, I've been trying to teach myself to do more pro renders these past few months. Nope, sadly I'm not taking architecture in college. I'm studying Graphic Design. I'll be graduating next year! Hopefully, I could take architecture afterwards.
