Hi anze! I'm glad you liked it. I'm still not sure. I might go with a blue and red combo for the Filipino flag.

bcarilloj1: Hi! I'm glad you liked the renders. As DS said, you either had to buy or get the trial version of it. Its quite pricey the results are quite realistic. I have to caution you though that it might be a little complicated at first but there are quite a lot of tutorials floating around the web which can help
![]() pingyao: Thanks! Glad you liked it, though its nowhere near the realism of your renders. Haha. Not much progress guys, sadly. Have to concentrate hard on my thesis. I did have time to whip up a crappy cross-section of the stadium. Still a whole lot of work to do.

Thanks Evrasia!
I hope I'm not boring you people with my renders which shows no progress LOL. ![]() The stadium exterior now. Might undergo a facade change. It looks kinda boring to me. Some semi-panoramic renders of the stadium. I'm trying to work on the seats on my free time. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

this looks unbelievable Burj. fabulous job. Just wondering though, how can making that on sketchup even be possible? lol. Im slightly a novice at sketchup so i just have to ask. I mean i made something that was complex and it made my computer run EXTREMELY slow, but it's complexity was nothing compared to this.

Hi reconcinator!
If you knew how puny my laptop specs are, you'd even be more aghast. The trick to this is use components for everything. I don't model the entire stadium. I halve it in 4 parts and merely combine them together to form the entire thing. In effect, I'm only modelling 1/4 of the stadium. I'm experiencing minimal lagging but otherwise its manageable. I'd like to see that project you're working on. ![]() Also, for those who find Vray to difficult to maneuver, SU Podium V2 is a wondeful alternative. The results may not be as flashy as Vray but very close. Also its extremely easy to use. It takes its time to render though but its comparatively faster than the older versions. Here's a sample I did last night. Done with medium quality render settings. ![]() ![]() ![]()

anze: Thanks! Don't worry, just keep playing with Sketchup and you'll improve. You're off to a good start, even better than when I started with Sketchup.
Danieldd: Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. Jude12: Uy! Long time no post haha. I envisioned it as such. Thanks for the compliments! BTW, I decided to recolor the facae. The color scheme vaguely echoes that of the Slask Wroclaw Euro stadium, my favorite stadium at the moment. ![]() Done with Podium. I'm loving how the quality of the renders are like Vray without any settings tweaking.

Hi guys! Still alive. LOL. We had a huge storm here so classes were cancelled. I took the opportunity to finish my stadium and yes, it truly is finally done. Only the landscaping left and parking, but the stadium's complete. It's also very very different from its first look. A photorealistic animation will be posted soon as the project gets completed
![]() Some test renders: ![]() ![]() Hope you guys like it!
