OH NO, this is not my design LOL. I should have clarified in the beginning but yes, this is probably my most favorite building after my user name's namesake. This is the CCP Theater in Manila, designed by Leandro Locsin, probably the most famous Filipino architect. Here's a picture of the actual structure.

Hi anze! Its a theater, a museum and a gallery. Yes, all in that one building.

So I've been so engrossed with CCP Theater I decided to do a whole batch of renders to showcase its rugged Brutalist beauty. Also I wanted to create more realistic renders so I needed to practice on something. This is all done with SU Podium and I'm pleasantly surprised at the outcomes. The renders are then all post processed heavily in Photoshop. I chose that kind of ethereal and yellowish lighting as I'm caught up with lomography and 80s photographs as of present so I wanted to emulate such a vibe and quality with the renders. Hope you like them.

. Yep the renders may be polarizing coz of the lighting.

Thanks Quall! Yeah the texturing took a lot of hardwork to perfect especially with Sketchup.

Stunning, great texturing and depth of field. I love the artistic look you've made with this. The actual building is great, wasn't familiar with this, but I'm partial to a bit of Brutalism if its done well with proportions and shapes.

Thank you Pingyao! I was hoping to do the original structure justice as it is a local architectural icon, which sadly isn't really that popular and well maintained. Same sentiments here. Locsin does Brutalism great as his works are very sculptural and rough at the same time.

Hi guys! Been quite busy lately so I wasn't able to post anything. Anyways, I've been working on another heritage church, this time, the San Agustin Church in Intramuros, Manila, which has the distinction of being the oldest stone church in the Philippines. Its far from being finished but here's what I have so far

Yeah that church model is fantastic. Are you going for the same type of realism as the previous CCP theatre? If so I look forward to seeing how this comes out.

Thank you! Yep, I'm gunning for the same ethereal render vibe with all the structures I'm modelling right now. I'm just hoping to get the texturing right here as texturing this church will probably turn out to be a nightmare. LOL

Since the church is done, I've moved on to the 4th to the last model in my 15 landmarks list. It's called the El Hogar Filipino Building in Escolta, Manila. This is arguably one of the most detailed models I've done so far. Surprisingly, the file size is still 1.8 MB. Still a WIP, so still far from finished as you can see. Hope you guys like the preview
