Chełmno - northern Poland

General view of the town of Chełmno founded in 1233:

Chełmno has a well-preserved medieval centre, with five Gothic churches and a beautiful Renaissance town hall in the middle of the market square.

The town hall of Chełmno and its interior, former Dominican church in the background.

Church of St. Mary, built 1280-1320, main parochial church of the medieval town.

Dominican street.

Church of SS John the Baptist and Johns the Evangelist, former Benedictine and Cistercian nuns' church, with monastery, built 1290-1330.

When it comes to Mitteleuropa i think Bardejov in Slovakia is great. We should design social housing like that!

Chester, England

The 'Chester Rows' are quite famous in the North West of England and date back to the medieval era. Although there was an extensive restoration by the Victorians. some of the medieval fabric of chester still exists, like its street pattern and quite a few medieval buildings. The city is also famous for its Roman Walls and its cathedral which dates from 1093, but has also been modified many times
