Créteil!
Hi I plan to stay sometime in Créteil because I will be studying in Paris the next year, so I read some reviews about the city, its situation, transport systems, etc. and I found that they have a metro that connects to Paris in a fair time but what about the issue of security, is Créteil secure?no city is free of crime bu from what I read I can infere that is a zone to be in precaution, I read something about rapes and drugs. I know that cities in México are more dangerous but I haven't suffered any kind of crime in my city, and I am a very quite nervous person about this. I have never been there and maybe I'm wrong but tell me guys, if it is safe enough or do I have to change my location, btw changing location is a very difficult process, sometimes even impossible that is why I'm asking.

My english is bad...

Creteil is not very dangerous. It is on the South-West of Paris il the Val de Marne department. And Val de Marne population is medium classes.
Some suburbs of Creteil are dangerous (some Social Batiments) but like every big city around Paris. Don't be afraid.

There's a city who's call Saint-Maur des Fossés and if you're afraid, be sure that at St-Maur there's will be no problems.
And more cheap there's Alfortville and Maisons-Alfort.

There's the 8 lane of the Paris Underground in Creteil. The 8 lane traverses Invalides, Opéra (Roissy Airport Bus), Concorde (Champs-Elysées) and La Motte Piquet Grenelle (straight of Eiffel Tower)

There are drugs in Creteil true but there aren't really any areas free of that nowadays.
You don't need to more in precaution about rape than in any other area of Paris.
Creteil is not the safest place of Paris but it is not a dangerous area, you can walk without problem.
It is safe.

I did a part of my university studies in Creteil and it's ok.

Some parts of Creteil are fine (not great), others are really not recommendable at all. I would avoid living there, altough it's probably relatively cheap.

Creteil is ok to me. It's not the most glamorous district of the greatest paris but it's correct.
To make a comparison

, let's say it's more safe than Elephant and Castle to London .
