I wouldn't be surprised if it shoots up even before the bridge is built (speculative buyers).
So we now have two major planned suspension bridges in the region. This one and another proposed for Jinja, Uganda.

Tanzania: Plans for Construction of Kigamboni Bridge Underway
Plans for the construction of the long awaited 680 metre Kigamboni Bridge that will connect Dar es Salaam to the Kigamboni peninsula are underway.
The bridge will be built by the government of Tanzania in partnership with the National Social Security Fund (NSSF). The project will include construction of two reinforced concrete pylons of a cable stayed bridge with a center span of 250 metres and a total bridge length of 180 metres as well as installation of wax coated stay cables including anchorages. The Kigamboni Bridge aims at tapping the vast resources and opportunities currently non-utilized due to poor means of transport across the creek. After completion, the bridge will be operated as a toll bridge during the concession period expected to last for 25 years. Source:http://www.constructionreviewonline.....html#Tanzania |
