Nice to see that construction is going on so well on this tower...it seems to have around 35 floors now, so it's about half the full height now.

Btw, I've recently heard on the news here (CBC) that Russia is in big economic trouble, and that because of that the construction of some skyscrapers-they showed Federation tower- has been suspended...but i guess this doesn't apply to all towers, though it'd interest me if construction of existing & new projects in Moscow is affected by this economic downturn in Russia?

Well, that's good news (at least regarding most of the buildings in Moskva City, but I'm quite confident that RT will be U/C again when the economy starts to grow again).

....here you can see once again how bad the news can be, B/C they've showed Federation Tower, and i was afraid that construction on FT was being suspended, but at least FT will be finished-360 m isn't that bad either .

Economic growth (IMF):

2008
Canada 0,7%
Russia 7%

2009
Canada 1,2%
Russia 5,5%

CBC should focus at economic growth at home.

Yeah i guess you're right...CBC is really talking like Canada is the country that's doing best in this economic crisis, and i really doubt that this is true.
Though won't the falling oil prices have an effect on Russia's economy?
Of what I've heard a big part of the Russian GDP is made up by oil exports...so i guess that there at least will be some effect on the Russian economy caused by the falling oil prices.

That's a pretty haphazard glass installation schedule. What reason is their to install the curtain wall on 4 different floors in 3 different sections at the same time???

I hate getting off topic about stuff like this, especially when it really stokes the Nationalistic fires of some forumers, but I can't resist. It's well known that over 60% of Russia's exports come from oil and gas. That is unquestionably a huge factor in Russia's economy. However you want to slice it, massage it, sweet talk it, whatever, Russia's immediate fortunes rest on the price of oil and gas.

And to get on topic (sort of) it's very difficult in any economic climate to build thousand foot tall skyscrapers when your economy (banks, government taxes, etc) are all posting huge reductions in revenue.

Strange, I didn't notice any "nationalistic fire" just a very polite observation. You seem very touched instead.
