how large is yoruba's vocabulary? do you have your own words for things like tv, electrical wire, High Definition, etc. basically just random, modern words that aren't native to the language?

Loooool. sincerely speaking, the Yoruba Vocabulary is quite large, compared to other languages of Sub-Saharan Africa.
Words Like ''High-Defination'' do not have Yoruba Correlates, But the beautiful thing is that almost anything, can be adapted into Yoruba.

For example, The computer in Yoruba is Called ''Ero-Ayarabiasa'', which literarilly means, ''the Eagle speed mechanism''...... lol
The Internet is called ''Ero Ayelujara'', which means ''the world connection mechanism''...lol
Radio is Called ''Ero-Asoromagbesi''', which literarilly means ''It Talks without getting a reply''......lol
Television is called ''Ero-Amohunmaworan'', which literarilly means'' The mechanism that captures both Picture and sound''.......lol

There are Words in Yoruba as well, that do not have English Correlates, Chiefly because the Yoruba Language is Very Deeply rooted in Culture!!!!.
For Example ''Eku-Ile'' The greeting directed at people One meets at Home, when returning from Outside, Has no English correlate..And so much more.

Overall, Yoruba is a very interesting Language.

Yeah, There is No letter ''C'' , In the Yoruba Language orthography.

But we Have Two Types Of ''S'' to compensate for that.

O Is Used for Either One Person, Someone Younger than you are, Or someone in a Lesser position than you..In other words, something singular, or in a lesser position.
Ẹ Is used for 2 or more people, Someone Older that u are/An Elder, or someone in a Greater position than U.
