But even so, they should be overwhelmingly good with many, many blowouts. You're absolutely right about Haslem and Miller. Both mean a LOT in this process. The rest of the roster is going to be filled with minimum-salary guys who will likely be a mix a fading vets on their last legs (a rebounding center has to be one of them) along with some younger guys, but that's more than enough to get this done. It's almost insane how well this has all played out for Riley, with only Derek Fisher's (expected) re-signing with the Lakers rather than coming to the Heat being an almost insignificant disappointment. You can write me down for a 63-19 season---which is almost comical to type but I think it's realistic.

I would really like to see a 73-9 season....and make history in the process. However, it must be noted that our 12 BEST Olympic dream teamers struggle to go 6-0 and undefeated in the Olympics. We just don't blow the world out anymore...so it is hard to imaginging not getting whacked 10-20 times over an 82 game season...
Go Heat! |

Ooooooh, what if T-mac is willing to take the minimum and spend a lot of time on the bench? He used to tear it up with Mike Miller on the Magic, he slumped immediately when the Magic traded Miller and really never regained that level of play. He was very very upset at losing Miller as a teammate and may relish the opportunity to be in the Heat locker room now. He made $23 mil last year so he is not strapped for cash, he may enjoy spending time on the bench and not take the physical pounding, and he never really had that alpha dog mentality.
Stranger things have happened. He is not nearly on the level of the big 3, but he would still have the ability in the right situation to drop 40, and he may be able to regain some of his old physical ability.

To Be Young, Rich and in South Beach Though LeBron James's decision to take his talents to Miami next season are likely based on important things like winning championships and potential chemistry with his new all-star teammates, there's also this—he's about to move to one of the best U.S. locations for living the high life. His new destination is an easy winner by these standards, thanks largely to Florida's lack of a state income tax, which could save him as much as $1.01 million next year compared with the other cities according to Florida-based law firm Gunster. Of the six categories we detailed, the Miami area was the most-luxurious in four—state income taxes, top golf courses according to Zagat and most-ostentatious cars, with a combined 22 Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls-Royce and Maybach dealerships. Miami also tied New York City in our top-nightclub category according to the "Nightclub & Bar" publication (we'd bet Mr. James is salivating at the thought of partying at LIV, the Miami Beach club ranked No. 6 on the list). |

Looks like the Celtics will be starting the season 0-1.

I hope it never goes up. It looks tacky and ridiculous. In city like Cleveland, yes, but in Miami? No. It will look cheap..

Instead of a billboard they should build a statue of Lebron. Right across the street from the arena. A statue larger than the freedom tower. Same pose as in the we are all witnesses billboard.

But for real though, if Miami takes home the championship, I wouldn't mind a life size statue in front of the AAArena. |
