I got an infraction for posting two dogs humping? "pornography"? HA! What's this world coming to?? I guess if a photo of two dogs doing their natural thing is porno then we better lock up all the dogs on the street. I don't care about the infraction one bit, but the censorship is just ridiculous. Whatever happened to freedom and fun. I couldn't even post any more photoshopped photos despite in good humor. I hate to say it, but this site is getting worse and worse. Like all of American society, it's becoming more and more "politically correct". Any hint of something that could be taken offensive gets censored. Maybe Roark is right. Maybe we are headed towards socialism?

They weren't just two dogs humping, Endeavor. They had faces on them, and if not pornographic, how about too far off topic? The only reason I even allow threads such as these is to keep it interesting for you guys because the "boom" is over. I'm certainly not going to allow dogs humping with human faces on them when it has nothing to do with skyscraper development. When I issued Roark an infraction, he said he was just being playful. Well, I'm not here to play with Roark or any of you guys.

Sorry if I came across rude earlier Q. I just thought it was harmless even if its not skyscraper related. No biggie. I will look to have fun with less controversial stuff I guess. Have a good weekend. Go Canes!!!!

The picture was rather entertaining, but I'm here to maintain a certain level of decorum in the forum. Let's keep the Miami forum something we can all be proud of.

And if I discover any of you making sarcastic humor out of any historical event that was a dark chapter in the history of our planet whether it be the Holocaust, the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II, or any such event, you are out of here like lightning. That is why when Sodermalm made some remark on another thread about people who haunt these boards to "regale us with tales of their shitty hometown," I asked him what he meant. Spellbound did too, but he chose to ignore us. Maybe he was referring to my hometown and something I said and is ignoring us for the reason I stated above. I don't know. Anybody else have any idea of what he might have been talking about that Spell and I missed? I'm not aware of anything else just as Spellbound was not, but I issued Sodermalm an infraction for having the "wrong attitude" in what he stated, and I'm letting you all know because it is an attitude that I will not tolerate in the Miami forum.

I get what you're saying Q. I didn't mean any offense, but in hindsight can see how someone would be unconfortable with it. As for posting something sarcastic or in bad taste about something like holocaust or similar would be downright inappropriate I agree is grounds for immediate ban. I hope my photo of the two dogs with Lebron and Shaq's face didn't offend as much as something like that.

I don't know what sodermalm meant nor did I really catch it, but then again I haven't been able to keep up with all the posts. I see Roark got banned. May I ask how come? If it's inappropriate to repeat or prefer not to say no problem. Laters.

Going to see the Heat here in Philly tomorrow thanks to a former manager with connections. Who can say no to a 300-lb. Samoan guy?

Seriously, though, they'll be fine even if not always as dominant as some imagined. And let's not forget Boston is a damn fine team, too. Once the Heat gels and gets more cohesive they'll have a lot of huge nights.

If there's one concern it's that Miami doesn't really have much presence in the middle---they were getting outmuscled there---but the shooters are so skilled that it probably won't matter most of the time. Don't think they'll be breaking the wins record, but anything less than a finals appearance would be a surprise.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing them in person tomorrow for their first win. (at least they better win)

Yeah...pretty underwhelmed by the LeBron ad, I have to agree. Just because he plays for us doesn't mean I have to buy into the whole "look at me and how important I am" deal. I'm way more interested in him just scoring points for the Heat than I am in any manufactured cultural meaning. Doctors and teachers do real shit, not basketball players.

That said, I had a marvelous time at the game and glad I was there for the first win with the 'troika'

My old manager hooked me and a friend up in a suite---totally unexpected---so we got the whole free food/booze thing and the Heat won easily, so all was good.

Also met a guy my age wearing a Miami jersey who was actually FROM Miami---that was cool. As for the couple near me 'rooting' for the Heat, they had a glazed look when I mentioned Rony Seikaly so I guess I'm among the first to deal with actual phony baloney Heat 'fans' who in reality have absolutely zero history of rooting for this team before now. I have no use for those people.

But, anyway, a great time and hopefully the first of MANY wins with this lineup. Glad I was there (and nobody gave me any crap for wearing a Heat shirt, btw. Sixer fans are pretty nice)
