Great pics. Madrid is one of my fav cities in the world. The street furniture is so modern and the buildings are amazingly grand.

The royals use the Royal Palace for state occasions and as the monarchy's working centre. Yes, it can be visited (last time I was there the queues were long though ).

However, the king and queen reside in Zarzuela Palace, a smaller palace in the outskirts of Madrid.

@capricorn2000 The Royal Family does not reside there anymore, but sometime it is used for state ceremonies. As Porto explained, it is opened to the public but i didn't get a chance to visit inside the palace lol there was a massive queue, gracias

thanks dude for the info and likewise to SO143.
I can imagine the vast increase of tourists/visitors wanting to get in
those must-see places not only in Spain but the whole of Europe.
I was lucky to visit some places way early in my life when Rome's coloseum
was free to get in and less crowded and the Louvre gave a particular day
for free pass and way much easier to get in those palaces and other places
of interests in other cities. Oh time changes and we have to live with it.
thanks again and will be checking this out for more. ciao.
