Do you have any maps of the planned system?

Any ideas for further expansion?

Thing, As I write this tears are running down my cheeks - I tried hard searching in the back- and front yard of the web, but couldn't any sensible map of the metro.
All I got for you is this general development map put together by our fellow forumer Fog which I believe shows at the very least some of the routes of the future subway system:

UPDATE

OK peeps, looks like I found some map, although be advised that it is pretty old (2004) and may or may not reflect present plans for expansion:

It looks prety similar to all former soviet metros and on the other hand a bit different. I like the mosaics.

Will the metro use overhead power or a third rail? I can't see either the one or the other in the photos...

I have a few questions.

1. What happened to the monorail contract that was signed? Is this now a dead project?
2. Will the 17 km second line open in 2013-2015, or is this when construction will start?
3. I understand that many of the city tramways have been closed in lieu fo the metro. Will any remain or are they all being replaced by the metro?

Thanks!

The monorail contract is pending now, as city has no moey. But it's not dead.

It's started already, but this year they've reserved only 1 mln USD, hope the next year will be much better. The line will go by ground, so it's much cheaper.

They're not closed, but LRT is planned to replace them.

Is it LRT in the Western sense or Eastern sense?

Didn't construction start in 1985? That is 26 years of construction (of course with periods of little or no construction) for a 8.5km metro, an ave of 300m a year!!!!

That has to be some sort of record......assuming of course it will finally open later this year?
